I find it interesting that all the devs seem to share a fear of getting stabbed by angry players. Multiple devs have repeated this fear on the FanFest stream. Did something happen that I haven't heard about? I don't find it weird that they all would joke about getting jumped by irate capsuleers, but the specific worry of getting stabbed...

Yeah, during the chaos that was Incarna, a very small subset of EVE 'rioters' somehow got the idea that sending RL threats was somehow appropriate. The full details were never released, but bullets through the post, and death threats, other things were whispered about...

There's a sad irony that a small few hardcore "fans" who believed that the devs were breaking "their game" (all debate about what happened aside) did something that may have irreparably damaged the trust the devs had in the playerbase. The playerbase had already lost trust in the devs, which the devs seem to be trying hard to earn back. But how are we to gain their trust back?

We don't need their trust, it's pay to play still is it not ?
