Ok, Slight PvP video. Yes, One of us dies.

Someone refused to take advice from my corp and I, so I challanged him to a t3 vs Frigate fight to da deff.
I won't tell you who won, although it should be pretty obvious Cool.

The video has no music due to the fact it's a quick 4 minute thing, a minute of which is me trying to find where he is (You'll see what I mean). It was also recorded to show my corpmates how the fight went, not so much for public viewing. But I decided It's not an every day occurance so... Blink.

My one question is this; How do I improve the quality of the fraps which I record?

I run my client in a 1400x800 Roughly. I could probably get the exact resolution if I bothered opening up my eve, but as you can see from the video the quality isn't the greatest (Sorry for this). It was my first time using fraps.

If you can halp me with the fraps quality issue, just reply here with the answer.

Was that supposed to happen?

basic tips are....

set fraps to the following...

Full-size
at least 30 fps but depends what your pc can handle while recording stuff... test it out doing some mission running or something
unless you particularly want it, do not record sound from fraps
record to a secondary hard drive if you have the option (one that is not running the os and eve client)

whatever resolution you set your eve client to, use the exact same for your movie you are creating in Premiere / Vegas (I find vegas easy to use as a noob to this stuff).

If you DO use vegas, I found these guides very helpful... at least the earier ones

also , the CBA to explain in detail but ask me about specifics if you need process I use is....

record in fraps at full size

edit in vegas with new project at same screen res as my eve client

export as lagarith lossless (google it)

run through staxrip to encode to mkv

upload somewhere

...

profit etc etc

I'll run this vid through and see if it changes anything.
If it does, I'll re-upload. If not, I'll just test it out with some new fraps and see what happens, to prepare for any future videos P.
