Hey guys,

I started playing EVE yesterday and loving it so far, my only issue is my cargo fills up so quick mining :'( How do I go about upgrading the cargo of my Ibis so I can carry more min?

Thanks

You'll need a free low slot (not sure if the Ibis has one) and a Cargo Expander module.

You can get a Bantam from the tutorial which is designed for new starters to mine with. This can fit two miners, has a drone bay for one small drone and has at least one low slot for a cargo expander.

If you have the money you can also get rigs for expanding your cargo hold but these are very expensive for new players.

Remember to run through all of the missions the tutorial agent can offer.

If you have a low slot, this is the item you're looking for to expand your cargohold capacity:

Go to the career agents, and do the "business" chain. You'll get a Bantam, and a few other ships as well. Actually, do all of them (DO NOT do the advanced military before the military one though).

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

Always remember to check "items" & "Ships" in the station. Also look in your assets (looks like a safe on the main bar). When I first started playing I didn't realise this and found loads of Mission rewards that I'd forgotten to pick up :-)

Thanks for all the advice guys :)

I did all of the quests I could with Aura and didn't do any after that. Where do I need to go to for further training quests i.e. mining and combat? I feel like a proper scrub lol don't like not knowing how to play a game Oops

Don't feel like that. Everyone's been there. I'd advise looking for a corp next, check around on the forums here or try to join EVE University, a great start for new players.

If you want missions for mining/combat, only advice I really can give you since I don't know your whereabouts is to go to different systems/stations and check for agents in the Agents-tab in the station.

Not that this is "bad" advice -- you should still run the rest of the career (tutorial) agents first. If nothing else, you'll get a shittonne of ISK.

They should be just a few jumps away from where you are. Open the help menu (F12) and IIRC there's a career agent locater in there. It'll give you the names/location of the nearest batch (it'll be 4 or 5 agents in the same station).

At the end of the Aura tutorials she directs you towards the career agents. If you missed that, didn't read the actual screens of forgot, just hit F12 and click the career agents button, it should show you where the closest career agents are located.

Again, do all 5 of them. They give a bit of rewards (which for new players means a lot of money to spent), some extra starting ships and items.

Also do the normal military one before you do the advanced one.

Also the ibis is a rookie ship and for the 'older' characters is nothing more then a free shuttle when they need it, it doesn't excel in anything but the tutorial missions.

If you have the inclination then you can repeat the 5 career agents twice more (there are 3 locations for each race).......unless they've changed that since I did them.
