Hi! These last days I have been planning on getting an alt account for mining & manufacturing, but I have no idea which skills to train and in what order to be able to fly retriever with decent income / hour and manufacturing efficiently. Any tips?

Here's what you need right here for mining.
http://www.eve-wiki.net/?title=Haladas_Mining_Guide

It's a great read. lays out all the skills and a break down on how everything works and the skills needed.

Manufacturing, depends on what you want to make. Once you have a few ideas you can take a look at the BPO/BPCs and see what skills are required. So basically while training for mining watch the market and get an idea on some of the things you'd like to make, compile a list of skills required to train.

Good luck :)

Basic skills to start manufacturing with are:

Production Efficiency V
Industry V
Mass Production V
Science V
Research V
Laboratory Operation V
Supply Chain Management IV
Scientific Networking IV
Advanced Mass Production IV
Advanced Laboratory Operation IV

Skill the above and you will have an excellent base to work with blueprints and manufacturing. It also leads nicely into Invention but that is not an early game career.

Any specific order if I want to start manufacturing meanwhile I train?

Production Efficiency - Get this to 5 first. No point in manufacturing if you're not at peak efficiency

Work on these next. You can alternate each skill and produce/research while doing it
Mass Production
Industry
Science
Research
Laboratory Operatio

These give you mobility and additional slots so you can save them for last
Supply Chain Management
Scientific Networking
Advanced Mass Production
Advanced Laboratory Operation

Personally I agree with Verocity on the importance of Production Efficiency V. Do not manufacture anything until you have it (otherwise you will most likely be manufacturing at a loss). But I disagree completely on the priority of training it as quickly as he says. Unless you are just training the character for a few weeks and not playing the character at all there are many things you can train prior to this that you can start using very quickly.

My first suggestion would be to download and install evemon. This is a tool that will let you (among many other things) choose a ship and it will load all the required skills needed pilot it. This would give you a good idea of the minimal skills needed, but also the suggested skills.

Now to get started you will have to make a pretty important decision (again this is if you are playing this character). Do you want to mine in crappy ships for a few weeks, or do missions. You will need to start doing missions so you can build up a standing with 1 (or many) NPC corporations. This is so you can refine cheaply, and also unlock R&D agents. Training Social and Connections will 1. Allow you to start doing L2 missions very quickly. and 2. Increase standings gained.

The reason i bring this up is because the first few days should be training either some basic skills to mine and mining missions, or to do PVE, again for missions. You might as well be productive while all the training is happening right?

A good possible option would be a Scythe (its what I got, but I'm minmatar). Its a good cruiser for mining, but you can also use it for pve / missions. It would be a good first thing to shoot for. Also training Drones and drone scouts. Your drones will be doing all the killing.

A scythe / cruiser shouldn't take very long at all. At this point you would want some basic laser, shield, etc skills (for missions) and Mining IV for the Miner II.

So by this point you would have social, connections, Mining IV, skills for the scythe. You can run L2 mining and pve missions for standing.

Next since you are mixing both mining and manufacturing there are also several other things you will need to also consider when it comes to how you will be planning your skills, and preparing early on for manufacturing. For example 2 key items needed in manufacturing T2 items are blue print copies and R&D points to buy datacores (look up research agents for info if you don't know all ready). Now you can buy "perfect" BPO's for a very high markup. These are BPO's that have perfect Material level and productivity level. You can also buy BPC's, but why buy something you can make yourself right?

The reason I bring this up is because the sooner you can start making BPC's the more you will have once you can start manufacturing. It is something you will need to do anyways and allows you to get stuff going on behind the scenes.

Training Science to V and labatory operations IV will allow you to start getting BPC's made (5 of them) with the least amount of time to make copies. Since making BPC's will have a minimum time of roughly 10 - 30 days (wait time for a open slot at a station) it is best to get these going ASAP. Assume 1 - 2 months per run of BPC's.

Also with Science V you only need to train 1 more skill to level V (such as Mechanics) plus a few science skills 1 - 3 levels to start unlocking R&D agents. These are great because you simply ask them to start researching, and every day (without doing anything) you get some number of research points. Again these will allow you to buy datacores which will be needed to make T2 items.

So with about 9 days of training (science + another level V skill) you will have a free source of income. If you have 40m you can get Research project managment and increase the number of R&D agents you can use.

So now you are pretty well setup. You have R&D avability, copies being made, a shipe for missions and mining and are working on standings. Now is time to move into a better ship.

A retreiver will be a very simple next step. You have the mining and science. All you need now is Industry V and Astrology III. This should only take you a few days to complete. You can also now use Strip miners I.

*Note. After learning science IV you could focus on Industry V to get your mining barge faster, instead of getting BPC's and R&D finished. Your decision to make if you want to get into a mining barge quicker.

Now at this point I would say train the last level in Mining V for one very important reason. Mining V will allow you to use the modulated strip miners II, but much more important is you can use L2 crystals in a few days.

Once mining V is done you will need to train Refining IV and Veldspar proessing IV (like 3 days?) This will add a pretty great increase to your mining output.

Also if you went the scythe route (change according to the race you choose) you should be able to within about 2 days get a mammoth (or simular industrial ship). You will need this for all that mining you are doing, and manufacturing that is coming up.

At this point you are now ready to train what remains of manufacturing skills. This is where the info Verocity submitted is spot on. You will not be manufacturing until Production Efficency is complete so get that out of the way. Once it is done training (11 days?) You should now have BPC's ready, datacores, ores, refining and hopefully a number of BPO's to use in manufacturing.

So to recap:
Scythe (ship)
Miner II (laser)
Drones (III is best)
Social (IV is suggested)
Connections (IV is suggested)
Science V
lab operations IV
Additional skill to V (Mechanics for example) + 1 -3 skills needed for the R&D agents
Mining barge
Mining V
Refining IV (remaining skills for Veld mining crystals II)
Mammoth (or simular industrial)

And then follow what Verocity suggested.
