The UK was working on a cloaking stealth tank but stopped the project. While they could make it invisible to sight if it stopped moving they found that heat vision picked up the exhaust and people could hear the engine and see the track marksStraight

Barrakus bro. Apparently you need to visit Cracked.com more often. Old news tbh, but there was an article about some recently discovered spider's web (I think in amazon or madagascar, I forgot) that is 5x stronger than kevlar. Then some bug that have officer fit armor hardeners that you cannot crush, let along a stomping sumo wrestler.

Cracked.com is very informative these days. :) Especially relating to animals (which I have great interest into)

Let me find it, in the mean time, more forum whoring. :)

Edit: Found it. Its actually 10x stronger than kevlar. :O Linkie here

There are many, many other non-animal interesting articles there as well. Like greatest use of trash talk in the war here or how coffee gives you "super powers" here or maybe how untrained civilians take on armies here. These are just recent articles for this month that I enjoyed reading. :)

Way way old news... years old actually. The problem with it is the elasticity...and getting enough of the proteins to synthesize it.

I think the show "The next big thing." had an entire show on materials engineering for stuff like that. Should be on netflix streaming actually.

it is already quite known for several years that spider silk is "the next best thing" for lightweight body protection, as long as they solve the production issues.
