Ill set this up with the first portion of the petition I filed and then the GM response (names omitted since they are irrelevant at this stage)

Quote:
I was in an alliance fleet which was baiting a War target (******) in Jita, close to 4-4 station. He engaged one of our members (******) who was in a Drake and was a flashy wartarget identified by all of our fleet. He docked up and 5 minutes later undocked in a Bhaalgorn and we allowed our drake pilot to bait and engage him off of the station about 300k.

Our fleet jumped to Jita and warped to our bait. When we landed we attempted to engage but got a CONCORD warning so we could not engage. We then noticed that he had just dropped corp so he can engage the drake without our fleet able to give support after successfully baiting him.

GM response.

I've confirmed using our logs, that the player docked before he changed his corp. This is allowed and is not considered an exploit.

Any further issue I can help you with? Or I shall close the petition as resolved? Let me know.

Best Regards,

Okay, so if this is not an exploit, it certainly is a misuse. A person quitting corp (without any roles) should have either an aggression timer to his wartargets if at war or there should be a time delay to last until all aggression by the person who dropped corp has ended.

Its hard to believe the DEVS intended for this to be the way game mechanics in PvP is supposed to work.

Please change this.

The wardec system is just one of many antiquated systems that need reworking. Its apparently (on their to-do list)

All warfare is based on deception and logistics. Battles and soldiers are secondary priorities.

I think this is one of the things they'll be looking at in the revised war dec system, which seems to be part of the focus of the summer expansion Inferno.
