Would you like to do so in strange and wonderful ways?

Then have I got the competition for you!


We all know about the current Flavour of the Month spaceships and how they’re apparently more of a space murder machine than the previous, but there’s some ships out there that get nothing but neglect.

I happen to have a soft spot for one, the Navitas!
So one night I decided “Hey, why not have a competition in which you reward people who mercilessly slaughter their fellow pilots best with a Navitas?”
It was in that magical moment that this contest was born.

What is this and why should I care?

The competition will be divided into 2 categories:

David vs. Space Goliath:
In this category the prize will go to the pilot who individually kills the most ‘above their weight’ ship e.g. Navitas single-handedly destroying a Carrier. In the event that more than one pilot destroys the same type of the top ‘Goliath’ ship then the winner will be determined by the isk value of the loss on the killmail.

-This is for SOLO kills, entries with more than one person doing damage to the victim will not be accepted. (protip: undamaging interference such as ECM, scrams, webs etc. Will NOT disqualify an entry.)
-Kills MUST be made by a Navitas
-The prize for 1st place will be a PLEX

Down the Drain:
In this category the prize will be awarded to the pilot who destroys the most isk with their kill. All contents of the destroyed ship, cargohold included will be factored in to the valuation of the kills.

-Again this is for SOLO kills, entries with more than one person doing damage to the victim will not be accepted. (protip: undamaging interference such as ECM, scrams, webs etc. Will NOT disqualify an entry.)
-Kills MUST be made by a Navitas
-The prize for 1st place in this category will also be a PLEX.

Are there rules and/or details and stuff?


How to enter:
-Entrants will link their killmail(s) in the entry thread. Short links to killmails eg. Tinyurl etc. Will not be accepted as valid entries.
-The killmails will need to be posted on battleclinic.com and be API verified to ensure no tampering with entries.
-People can submit as many entries into the comp as they want to but only their top kill for each category will be counted.
-Entries posted before the start of the competition or after the end will not be counted.

An entry post should look something like:

1) The category the kill is being entered in
2) A link to the killmail
3) Any comments and/or trolling you deem necessary
(in that order)

Judging:
-In order to ensure that the correct kills are awarded there will be myself and 2 other TBA players going through the entries.
-It will be possible for the same player to win both categories so don’t be afraid to aim for first in both!
-Isk values for the kills will be determined after the competition ends rather than as entries come in, so don’t count on that day-long mineral price spike doing you any favours.

Prizes:
-There will only be a prize for first place in each category
-The prize for each category will be a single PLEX plus much bragging rights.
-In the event of a tie for first place in either category the winner will be determined by a random number generator.
-Those who lose in the random number draw will still get an honourable mention in the results post!
-Winners of second and third place will also get a mention in the results post.

Other stuff:
-If there are any particular gems among the killmails that don’t win a prize or are group kills they may also be linked in the results post as well for everybody’s enjoyment.
-Rules and judges can be changed up until the scheduled start of the competition
