I have noticed that unlike many other skills in the game, the PI section has no boosting skills, so I came up with 2.

Equipment Operations

this skills gives a 5% bonus to the factories and mines on a planet

+5% to yield per level
-5% to cycle time per level.

Command Optimization

this skill gives a 5% bonus to command center CPU total per level

+5% CPU bonus

Why not? would help when you need to squeeze in one more mine or you're 10 CPU short of getting that advanced factory in.

None to yield. All yield boosts do is lower the price of materials at the expense of players who dont have the skills (new players). Also there is also a skill that boosts command centre resources, command centre upgrades.

If you're gonna add features to the game, you should think of what it will add to the game, why will it make the game better? 'why not' or 'because its cool' is a sure way to have people roll their eyes at you. And these suggestions are basically mandatory requirements before you can make any decent isk with pi.

If instead you have a skill that reduces the power need of links, you don't actually get more yield than a noob, but you may be able to reach a better deposit without uprooting part of your network. Skills that increase storage will allow you to visit a planet less frequently, but don't directly penalise people who don't have the skill. Or skills that increase extractor unit range from extractor head.

Things like that.

Part of my own rework I've half way thought up includes a skill to take 20% off links per level. With links costing nothing at 5, or just making links free for everyone going forward. It's just a bottleneck put in to artificially limit you. Oh hey the hot spot moved. Time to destroy stuff so you can move your ecu over.

Or a skill for +5% CPU/+5%pg per levels.

I would prefer the hot spot and moving system remain the same. its annoying yes, but it is one of the very few isk sinks (small as it may be) left in the game.
