Wormholes

Wormholes are rather boring and easily exploited.

When I first joined the game Wh's were new and cool. There were wormhole "alliances" that were mostly scams to farm new players assets, being not really an alliance so the sponsor corp would clean you out and take your pos back or remove roles. They were the realm of small gangs and new players wanting to explore. It was all new and not repeatable because they were no forums dedicated to all wormhole knowledge.

With the Citadels changes it makes it a nice easier place to stage and combat, if you are a large political entity, with alts you can exploit this knowledge and move fleets between null systems avoiding the jump costs of the new space aids. But where is the space for new players to explore, flourish and be exploited?

So I am suggesting CCP makes a few changes. My idea is that once you scan down a hole, you use it, it then changes to somewhere else within 1 au or different entrance and exit holes. Say you have bookmark of the old one you need to play a game like the changes they did to data sites, so you can get to the new location. I really feel wormholes need to be small gang and new player focused only.

Once in wormhole space they can work like they always have, it just entering them or exiting wormhole space to empire or null sec that should change, making it more restrictive and less predictive. Making the wormhole grid up to 1000 km and it moves in an unpredictable way. but leaving a game mechanics as it is in wormhole space. I feel this will make Thera and the ice fields much more important for wormhole people and much more conflict to get resources.

https://www.reddit.com/r/Eve/comments/3ng8ii/why_would_anyone_mine_ice_in_shattered_wormholes/

I believe this would give people a reason to mine in shattered wormholes it gives them a more predictive supply chain within wormhole space, while making the weak not refueling or resupplying to know space. I believe this would help small gangs and others take over wormholes.

Something should change to make them more interesting and less predictive.

Flying it like you stole it, because half of the others in eve have.

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent post were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this forum is now dumber for having read it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Maybe you are right, but wormholes should change become unpredictable, using a forum to map out a path anywhere in eve you want. is dumb.

I think I get it. You want everyone in wspace to use Covops cloak only and have a probe launcher.

If we get rolled into by a heavy armor fleet (or a small gang of noobs), all we would need to do... is sit with a few Virtue combat probers 4AU configuration off the new entrance and pinch every Krab that comes through.

Sounds really stupid. I don't think it's all of wspace's responsibility to teach you how to use a core probe launcher.

wspace is endgame content, not a noob backdoor network. there is already a huge requirement to scan/probe every system from top to bottom... and you suggest every individual ship needs a probe launcher?

Have you ever been in wspace?
Actually,
Have you even left Delve yet?

You should take this thread, roll it up and smoke it.

For Fun - add randomness

Replace all static wormholes with a random wormhole with the limiting restriction being the mass limits for certain classes of wormholes. -- example --- C2 with Low & C2 statics would be a C2 with a random hi,low or null. & C2, C3 or C4 static.
What fun would be had if your quiet Null static occasionally spawned a busy Hisec

and then make all frigate sized wormholes originate in shattered systems to create a frigate combat areana

Ok, serious answer time? fine, here's the truth:
People are always asking for more 'randomness', more 'unpredictability' in wspace.
Thing is, people have no idea how AWFUL random mechanics are until they get them.
People ask for random triggers in sites every now and again, go ask C5 dwellers hos fun Quarantine Areas are to run.
(The random spawn distance crap is still sh!t too for anyone wondering.)

Randomness is fine in teeny-tiny amounts, such as the 10% mass variations on WH times and mass, but literally no one likes true randomness, it just isnt how people operate.
Good truly random mechanics truly are not a thing, people need some semblance of structure to operate within, otherwise they just wont bother (again, look at quarantine areas; it's the 1 random trigger site in WHs, and it's also the one site no one ever runs. you really think that's a coincidence?)

A shame this once great forum ends with this dumb post.
Edit: WH behaviour is ok as it is now and you should use the new forum, this one will be deactivated soon.

I did set parameters for the randomness but if you prefer Teeny-Ttiny random spawn for exits it is then - say a 80% that your C2 spawns your usual hisec rather than a low or Null

As for your comments about random spawn mechanics in combat sites:
Given CCPs move toward AI driven combat (re: The Pirate EC test). I would start getting used to the rat spawns not being available via a google search or eve survival but having a lot more variety as they begin to be based on what you fly in with along with a random AI tactic/force composition to fight you with.

I had a corp mate who used to enjoy them - ran a few with him now and again - if you aren't going all out to maximise ISK per hour it was kind of cool to just warp in a spam of multiboxed carriers, dreads and marauders (when they had 90% webs) and just blap, blap, blap while tanking EVERYTHING.

(Plus people thought you were crazy and didn't tend to drop you).
