My alt needs a good hauler for his ore wares but my account is still alpha. So far from searches I found that It5 is the best for an alpha and this setup was proposed in 2012:
But I noticed Adaptive Invulnerability Field 2 is Omega; any good alternative?

And cost 300 million ISK each.

Use a T1 Adaptive Invulnerability Field, and don't carry too much, that ship's paper-thin thanks to the cargo expanders.

here is my 2 cents....


make an another account for your hauler that is gallente, then proceed to use the extremely good item specific haulers. this way you dont sacrifice space and tank for expanders. you can tank them or not any way you see fit

My 3 characters are all Gallente, I use a venture now for mining and it's great with the 5k of ore space but I want something with more room so I have less trips, plus I just used a Nereus to haul 75 shuttles but it took me like 20 million trips. I only have the one PC so figured my miner can also be a hauler.

Use the miasmos. And disregard Arthurs 'advice' obviously...

Rigs for tank or agility.

Try to keep the cargo value low.. I guess under 200 mill or so is fairly safe.

Never autopilot.

I definitely never autopilot unless the hold is empty and I'm ok with losing the ship.

This would be my preference if you are actively flying it. You can pulse the AB to get into warp in 8.5 secs so agility mods are not required. Also pulse the AB if you are getting bumped and even under a scram (less than 4 points) and you can get away.

Shield extenders are better than invuls at least from a EHP perspective and you don't need to turn them on. Either way you have too little tank to even worry about, if you cant get away you are dead in way less time than it takes for Concord to arrive.

I'm assuming you just rattled that off without looking up the actual module costs. The Pithum C-Type EM is the only expensive one @11m ISK; the others are all under 2m ISK each. When you don't have the skills for T2 modules some of the Deadspace ones are a good substitute (actually cheaper and more effective).

No, I looked it up on eve-central. If I misunderstood which module you meant, apologies, I searched for exactly what you typed and selected the "Adaptive Invuln Field" from the results, since that's what the OP was asking about.

He wasn't very clear but there were a couple and the one that I saw was Invulnerability for 300 mil, the other ones are damage type specific

I definitely like the Miasmos for ore hauling, may get ITV for non ore hauling though also. Since carrying 75 shuttles would not have worked in the Miasmos.
