Minmatar stations have too much bling.

Hi there,

I think the new docking lights on the stations is an excellent addition and makes the game visually spectacular. However, I think the Minmatar stations have too much bling. The dazzling light show totally overwhelms the dark and rustic aesthetic of the Minmatar faction. Particularly with some of the bright while light colourings and bright neon signs.

I think minmatar would be more complemented with red, deep amber, and perhaps warm white colors - and something with a little less luminosity.

They gotta have the warning lights so you don't accidentally stab yourself on one of the rusty spikes and die of tetanus.

You cant have rust covered electromagnetic waves unfortunately.

I see these markings around the station as standard of some kind, maybe stick it to CONCORD regulation? In case some capsuleer would undock and fly around. And it would protect a regular space civilian leaving station on the way to visit planetary zoo, from crashing with some Raven.

Maybe CCP should make is so some of the lights blink off & on. Like a shorting circuit effect.

Also instead of a docking procedure the Minmatar race should have a brace for impact procedure.

Insane.

I think all of the stations should have the amount of outside lights reduced.

It's great for the Holiday Season but that's past now. Time to put the Christmas decorations away.

You can't really tell because of how small people really are in this game, but those lights are actually station personnel tethered to hundreds of moorings retrieving parts that have fallen off the station. It's a 24/7 job because as soon as the zero atmosphere glue dries on one area of the station, it degrades on another area of the station resulting in parts falling off all the time. Creates a real space hazard tbh.Blink

Have you seen this one station with asteroids encapsulated in it? Amarr mining station or something. Those people (I imagine them as Jetsons families in flying cars) have even their own hangars and even a bilboard.

This. There is a distinctive lack of duct tape...

Agreed, stop letting the minmitar use advanced technology they can't even comprehend let alone maintain and use. Replace all the holographic screens with giant CRT monitors that barely use color, and are held together by duct tape. Also the lights need to be flickering in and out from when the guys in the giant hampster wheels powering the station need to change shifts.

We Minmitar don't build our own stations...we contract that work out to Amarr Refugees. Cheap labor, but they do a decent job.

OK, our tastes are a little gaudy, but at least we don't fly around in gold-tinsel ships. Smile
