I just finished this COSMOS epic mission arc , in an attempt to improve my standings with Caldari and Amarr. And after completing a long story arch, with a side subplot in between and do what I was asked in time. I get this little gem from the COSMOS agent:

Such a fine sophisticated piece of writing. I almost expected it to finish with "....lol".

This is the equivalent of "GG EZ" but with agents.

Please.... hire some actual writers for content thank you.

You make it sound like carebears actually read what their mission agent say that isn't the mission name.

Post with your NPC alt main and not your main main alt!

It should say "Ta-ta" and not "Ta-da". Unless the mission agent is a magician and has just pulled a rabbit from a pod.

I wonder how much effort it would take to write actual conversation trees.

Agent: I am here to give you mission...
Reply:
1. Good! Give me mission! Now!
2. I would like you to provide me some information...
3. Excuse me. I was thinking you are an exotic dancer. You look gorgeous! *flirt*
4. Are you crazy? We had that conversation like 1000 times before.

Are you some sort of MMO archaeologist?

Never read those texts, just the name, (optional) open eve-survival, proceed with mission.

I'm my own NPC alt.

*thinks of dialogue like in fallout classics 1 and 2"

I would make endless conversation options with a lot of lore in it.

I am someone who was -4.98 standings with amarr, and I have been meaning to do these missions to recover empire faction standings for ages.

Actually, the Ta-Da is short for "Here's your reward for this mission, all the stuff listed on the right side is now blinking your wallet and taking up space in your station hangar."

Hi nit-picker (just joking)!

You get a fanfare instead of a casual hand-wave - and you're complaining? The absence of an exclamation mark at the end is, no doubt, an Icelandic convention. Can't have you getting above yourself...

As to your point, there is some variety in text communications, which betrays the understandable likelihood that the pens of several hands are responsible for what we finally see. From the snarky 14 year old to the weary septuagenarian; it's all there, in a bewildering display of diversity.

The particular example you displayed was probably written by the the same person who directed the performance of the now-defunct Aura.

COSMOS missions are perhaps the oldest and most untouched kind of PvE there exists in Eve.

Be happy they are working at all :P
