Mobile app - Getting "connection error" when adding another character

Anyone else have the same problem or suggested solution?

Maybe its a temporary error...although it didn't work yesterday as well...

Talking about the official EVE Online mobile app (EVE Online Portal).

No issues other than corp information not updating properly. Test this yourself, leave a corp and the app will show your previous corp a week later lol

Yeah I've gotten it a bunch of times.
I back all the way out of everything and start fresh when I added my other guy.

that is the exact same problem that I have.

Now I also realise this could be an Android specific problem...

I can't switch inboxes or send mail. Sometimes I can't even switch who I am looking out without connection error

The app, it does nothing! (Galaxy S6, Android 6.0.1, also "Connection Error", same as screenshots except in English.)

Going to have to carry on with EVE Droid for now.

I'm having the same issue, I can't get any of my characters to load in the Mobile App.
iPhone, current version of iOS.

I also had the connection failed error.

I was able to fix it by authorizing each character on my account.

My guess is that the app checks each character access rights, and throws an error when a character is not authorized.

You can check which characters are authorized by going to the third party apps support page https://community.eveonline.com/support/third-party-applications/

Yeah now I can finally add my two alts.

However...I am getting push notifications although I removed that in the settings. I only wanted to have most of the stuff in the feed.
