To be candid, I dont know **** about computers, networks, etc, i rely on others to set up my machine, printers etc. that said i have a question.

Is it possible, to have an eve client running on computer A, and different players in different locations on computers B, C, D, able to remotely access computer A, and play the eve client on computer A from computers B, C, D, at different times?

I don't intend to do this, im trying to figure out if it possible, I know its against the rules.

I'm sorry, I didn't catch that. Please rephrase the question. Blink

Assuming you mean you have 1 pc you can install things on and 3 other pc's that for whatever reason you are unable to install the eve client. Maybe there's some kind of remote access software that would let you access a pc remotely and display its output on a secondary remote terminal. However I wouldnt want to vouch for the security of said connection, you would probably be playing with a VERY considerable amount of lag between input and response and I highly doubt you could have 3 different ppl accessing the same client remotely at the same time. Even if you could it would likely be in violation of Eula. You are explicitly prohibited from allowing other ppl access to your account or characters.

I would say try the Steam streaming thing. You can just add any executable to Steam and stream it to other machines in the local network. Image quality and delay are decent, and since Eve is not exactly a twitch shooter type of game, that should work just fine.

I wonder, why would you like to know this, if you don't intend to do it? Also, I don't see any problem with streaming an Eve client to different machines in the network, as long as every player sticks to their own account. It would work if you like to play on your old and weak office pc in the basement or on your crapy netbook on the couch as then your streaming machine does all the hard lifting.

the reason why i ask is im pretty sure a group of players are sharing accounts. Either they are doing it remotely, or the account is left open where they work different shifts throughout the day, and they share this account at work. If this is what they are doing do yall think its possible that CCP can trace it if i petition it?

i want these dicks banned

Don't underestimate how many hours a day some ppl will put into eve or any other mmo if they don't have external obligations. That said, if you suspect bots, file a report and move along. Dont chat about it here.

It's possible to control one computer from another computer, though sending the complex video of the display screen across the internet to another computer introduces lag / delay and quality issues.

As far as multiple people connecting to one machine to play EVE at different times during the day, that's similar to a public computer in a library where people can walk up to the computer and log into it with their characters to play EVE. Not illegal.

However, if they all use the same account / same character, that's account sharing and is against the EULA.

But we cannot discuss HOW to do, or even how to detect, or how CCP might detect illegal behavior. Your only option is to open a ticket to CCP to report them, and let CCP do whatever they do to investigate the matter. CCP does ban people who break the EULA rules, quite readily actually.

EDIT: If we start discussing illegal behavior or detection methods, the moderators will lock this thread, because it's against the forum rules. Just open a ticket to report them, and discuss the matter with CCP directly, via the ticket comments.

Let me rephrase, if you suspect behavior in breach of eula, report it and move along.
