Hi there,

I started an industry job a while back (2007) during my time in a NULL alliance in Syndicate. I feel now is the time to deliver it... I didn't really fancy a trip out there to do so, so I trained SCM to LvL 2, but I still cannot remotely deliver the job.

This also goes for two other little jobs much closer to me. The NULL job is currently 10 jumps from me, and the local jobs about 4/5 jumps. None of them will deliver. The local jobs are in the same region and the NULL one is not.

Am I missing a special incantation or does EVE just not like me?

Thanks,
Berant

If you can see the job and have the proper skills you should be able to deliver it. SCM is for manufacturing. If they are research jobs you need the Scientific Networking skill - it works the same way.

Alas no. Trying to deliver a manufacturing job of ammo. I just want the slot back and I get:

You are too far from the facility to modify this job. Your current skills in Supply Chain Management for manufacturing or Scientific Networking for research allow remotely managing up to 0 jumps away.

As I said, I have SCM Lvl 2.

Strange. My characters run research and manufacturing jobs remotely all the time so I know it works! I'll suggest clearing your cache before submitting a support ticket. https://support.eveonline.com/hc/en-us/articles/203613081-Clearing-client-settings-and-the-client-side-cache-data

Cache didn't work, so ticket submitted.

Thanks for your help,

You would have to be in the same region for skills to apply.

Question: Were these jobs in NPC stations? or player owned structures?

NPC Stations. I was in the same region for a couple of jobs. Let me check the one outstanding one again.

Not since Crius expansion. Both the manufacturing and research range skills work across regions.

You can be anywhere. My nullsec characters do research for my highsec business - 22 jumps crossing several regions.

You cannot cancel remotely... Checked with Gm. Somewhat annoying

I was told that is not possible. That is all I wanted to do so I didn't have to go to null through a choke point...

Can you explain if there is anything specific about your jobs/skills?

The auto-pilot route is used to calculate the distance, since Crius.

Set it to "shortest" route and try again.

Also beware if you are avoiding certain systems that would make the route too long.

I tested it from the system one jump away. Couldn't cancel.

To get to the facility takes me through a major 0.0 choke point and the alternative routes are much longer...

Don't choose "cancel", choose "deliver".
