Did developers forget making these visible on ships, meaning compared to all the diff turrets and missiles, would it not be a quite small thing to make, at least they could have stopped playing the game for a min and included it in the citadel expansion. Think its a quite expensive subscription when thinking about the slack on such simple things to do. Question

EVE was released in 2003, and missile launchers didn't get a model until 2012 in the Inferno expansion.

I believe the reason a module to these mods haven't been added, is because of the simple question: What would they look like?

It's also an issue with the finite available surface of each ship where something like a turret can visually be added. Ship models were designed and redesigned with the idea in mind they would only need to visually accommodate space enough for a certain number of visible turrets and launcher objects. Virtually every ship in the game would have to be redesigned from scratch. Just having enough model space for 8 guns is a strain enough on many ships given their sizes.

This is even more so the point given weapons in Eve do not have limiting caps on direction of aim or coverage, which means ships already must have enough room for not just one model for each gun/launcher, but often two or more physical models for each gun/launcher. This is so we don't get odd turret fire animations when the target is eclipsed by the host ship.

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."
