Is the SP Cap Applied Before or After the Skill Injector Has Been Used

Used as in you select the skill and the SP is actually applied. Not once you inject the injector and is applied to your SP pool.

Just asking because I'm 45M right now and I'd like to inject a bit more than 5M SP without the penalty.

I think no matter how many skill injectors you use you will stay at 45M SP, because the injected skill points will go to the pool of unallocated skill points.

You can't get around the penalties by injecting lots of injectors at once.

It includes unallocated skill points when deciding if you should be penalized.

1st try: I have a char with 4.8M SPs. 1 Injector adds 500k SPs

2nd try: I have a char with 4M SPs and 5M SPs unallocated. 1 Injector adds 400k SPs

3rd try: I have a char with 5.000000M SPs. ... Have not been tested :) I assume, that 1 Injectors adds 400k SPs only.

alright -- so from 45.3M SP i injected 13 injectors.

recieved 5.1M SP

So the penatly is applied even with the unallocated pool of SP.

which means: if the amount of SP in the unallocated pool + SP in character > SP penalty cap, the penalty is applied when you inject.

Pretty sure there is a good reason for that, otherwise you could just inject up to the Absolute max from a fresh Char and never get a penalty. Also you could extract all of your SP (down to be low 5mil) and reallocate all of your skills with no penalty (other than extractor isk) .

Exactly, well said.

If CCP had dropped the ball and done it in any other way it would have been abused instantly and they would of had to roll it back anyway.

I apparently have no idea what I'm doing.
