Disclaimer – this persona has been created for the purposes of negotiating this contract to maintain the anonymity of the employer.

The employer wishes to contract the services of a Mercenary organisation with highsec operational capabilities for the removal of high security space Astrahus citadel located in Amarr space.

General terms include:-

  1. All fee based costs for the war declaration will be covered within 24 hours of the war declaration being made or on renewal of said war declaration. These costs will be covered within the agreed target time for completion of the contract on the basis that suitable evidence is received to confirm costs.
  2. Once a contract has been agreed and confirmed by the relevant parties operations are expected to begin within 48 hours – failure to do this may result in the contract being null and void.
  3. Agreed final payment will be made upon the destruction of the citadel concerned.
  4. Additional Bonus payment may also be paid out for actively hunting and destroying assets of the owning corporation and / or alliance at a previously agreed rate.
  5. Failure to destroy the target citadel within a reasonably agreed time will result in the termination of the contract and any agreements of payment will be null and void.
  6. The Employer retains the right to terminate the contact at any time should performance not be to a satisfactory level.
  7. Additional costs will not be covered by the employer unless previously agreed, this includes but is not restricted to, fees, ships, contracts, modules, structures and implants of any kind ammunition.

Prospective mercenary organisations should eve-mail this persona with details of their terms, conditions of acceptance and initial quotations for the agreed service. References and other related stats would also be welcome and will be taken into consideration as part of the bidding process.

All bids received within a period of 7 days of this post will be considered. All winning / declined bids will be notified within 48 hours of the submission period expiring. and the employer also reserves the right to employ more than one contractor should it be deemed necessary or on the request of the contractor.

Once the winning bid has been confirmed any additional negotiation may take place at this point should it be required. Once the final agreement has been ratified operations will be expected to take place within 48 hours of acceptance as part ii above.

Successful completion of this contract may also result in preferential access to similar future agreements of which the employer anticipates to be semi regular.

The bidding period begins as of the date and time stamp of this post.

Just a point of contention.... Amarr space is rather vague and depending on the definition, could cover an area over 40 jumps or more from one end to the other. I have a character out in Amnatar space (some consider that Amarr) and he is some 40 jumps fromasseks out in Khanid Prime in the Khanid Kingdom (also considered Amarr space). And Amarr isn't even a region itself.

So about where in the vastness of Amarr are you talking about?

The employer is not at this time willing to discuss specifics that may reveal the location of the specific target, that is however a fair challenge. Confirm that the target is located in a neighbouring region to Domain.

For a faceless alt, that's a breathtakingly pretentious name

e: I have re-read the OP, and I apply the same to it as well. Good luck on your venture!

Hello,
I'm not a merc, but I think you need to give more time than 48 hours:
An Astrahus has only 3 hours of vulnerability window a week.
So it could be well possible that a Merc corp/alliance accepts your contract, but has to wait some days till the next vulnerability window comes.

This is a fair point. Just to clarify, the definition of operations. The contractor will begin planning, preparation and ideally if possible initiate active hostilities towards the target. It is not necessarily restricted to citadel operations. But the contract is planned for two weeks as a whole.

Just wondering:
You pay AFTER the work is done? So you leave all the financial risk on the merc group - did i get this right?

This is incorrect, please see highlighted sections below

  1. All fee based costs for the war declaration will be covered within 24 hours of the war declaration being made or on renewal of said war declaration. These cover up from fixed costs, final remuneration, and additional costs need to be negotiated.

The employer is, similarly to your sentiment, also unwilling to take full liability at the start of the contract.

You can say whatever you want... payment is done after the job.

Back in the days when i was hired gun i only accepted FULL upfront payment - which were always accepted by my satisfied customers. What happend to the merc work *sigh*...

Lamenting about the 'Good Old Days' of merc work while boasting about your 'satisfied' customers rings somewhat hollow when posting on a character which has a kill board with 32 kills and 9 losses.

Trust is a two way interaction - you have to at least agree to meet somewhere. Hence the request for references and other information which may or may not influence where the employer is happy to meet the contractor in terms of financial remuneration.

It is however easy enough for me to prove funding through the provision of an API key or using the services of a trusted 3rd party.

The OP is kind of nutty and deserves to have his ticked punched. Can anyone ferret out his real identity? I want to hang out w/ this looney tune in game.

Please halp.

Although the write-up of the OP is absolutely fabulous and very well written. There is one point that was mentioned that I would like to further reinforce.

Merc's in general, will not take payment after, only before.

You don't get a game only to pay the developer once you are satisfied with the product.

If you do pay after a service is rendered. In example, a Mechanic, it's because they have something of value of yours, in their possession.

However if you are looking for a recommendation, Vendetta takes Citadel contracts, Natual Clonekiller who posted above is the person you would want to contract. They have already taken down four. Not sure if they are contracted hits, but they are the only active ones that active go out to kill them.

Marmite has also opened public to Citadel contracts. However I am not aware that they have actually gone after one as they don't
appear to have a kill on one yet.

If BAW was active I would recommend them, but they appear to be inactive. So personally I would say go with VMG.

# Mercenaries destroy the requested Citadel.

"Payment? I see no rules here. This is EvE HTFU!"

You should probably consider using a trusted third-party for the transaction, so the mercs are sure they will get their payment in the end. At least, that is what I would do to make this job offer seem more attractive.

Cause killing citadels in highsec ain't all fun and giggles :P

Will you pay *up front* for this information? Blink

The dead swans lay in the stagnant pool. They lay. They rotted. They turned Around occasionally. Bits of flesh dropped off them from Time to time. And sank into the pool's mire. They also smelt a great deal.

So mentioning the obvious?

This is an alt-char what was just (not) created to (only) negotiate with the alt negotiation char (but now is badly used for this). Phew, that was a long road.
But somehow i guess you know how this works :P
