Having recently left a WH corp recently to try something different I was thinking of trying out faction warfare, however I don’t know a great deal about this area of the game and so I have a few questions.

From what I understand if you join a FW corp you instantly lose standing with the opposing factions, for example if I joined Caldari FW, then in gallente/minmatar regions of space I would be classed as a criminal, not sure if this is how it works

If I joined a Gal/min FW group would I lose access to dock in major trade hubs like amarr and jita?

If I am classed as a criminal in opposing faction space and if I do not have access to trade hubs, are these things reversed, or set back to my current levels should I leave FW in the future.

Lastly, assuming I join I was thinking of Caldari FW so I def can fly in caldari space/jita what is a good CAldari FW corp to potentially join

No. You start losing standings once you get promoted in the faction you are in. As for highsec docking rights, feel free to dock up just be careful of the faction police. Also be careful of war targets camping the highsec pipes and Jita/Amarr.

Post with your NPC alt main and not your main main alt!

Technically no, but effectively yes.

Militia members are subject to the 'wardec' mechanic, whereby opposing militia members are free to shoot you in hisec.

Many use this mechanic along with station docking games to farm easy kills to pad their KB just F1ing all day at a trade hub.

The work around is to use n neutral alt to do your shopping/hauling, and contract it to your main.
