EVE Launcher version 1036602 has the following changes:
  • Launcher versions for different platforms are no longer required to be in sync.
  • Added automatic triggering of verify/purge feature.

  • Mac specific:
  • Wine and wineenv folders are now purged when Wine version is updated.
  • Launcher should no longer crash if client is launched after switching back to Cider.
  • Fixed an issue where the launcher would check for updates repeatedly after running for a while, eating up memory and CPU cycles.
  • Added missing font in Wine, used in market graphs.

  • The verify/purge operation is the same as is in the shared cache dialog - it is now automatically triggered once every two weeks to ensure the shared cache doesn't grow unchecked, filling up with old versions of resources.

I am on windows 7 and on every start up I get this screen

Also for some reason on start-up the launcher only shows 3 of my accounts. Any more I add during that session will stay but when I restart the launcher it will be back to three.

Great progress though so far, I am on the verge of actively using it :)

The launcher update is failing for some reason. First thing to try is to open the shared cache folder and delete a file called updater.exe - see if that works.

If not, send me the launcher logs (%LOCALAPPDATA%\CCP\EVE\Launcher) - put them up on a Dropbox or Google Drive and send me the link in EVE mail.

That solved both problems I had. Thanks :)

Is there a launcher setting to prevent this from starting? I know there is a cancel button once it has but on mine this failed to stop the verification and just caused the launcher to lock up forcing me to restart it and go through it all again.

No, sorry, the Cancel button was supposed to be sufficient. I'll see what I can do tomorrow.

I'd be curious to see your launcher logs - can you put the files from %LOCALAPPDATA%\CCP\EVE\Launcher in a Dropbox or Google Drive and send me the link in EVE mail?

Wow. The difference in verifying the content of shared cache on win7 and linux is insane. Linux (with btrfs on a HDD) is three times faster than win7 (with ntfs on a HDD).
