Hello everyone,

I have just returned to give Eve another run.
I have a char with ~12 mil SP but wanted to start from scratch bulding a new char focused on pvp and exploration.
You think it would be better to sell the 12 mil SP char and buy skill injectors for ISK I earn for it or to use skill extractors on the old char?

Keep your old character.

All you would achieve by starting a new one would be to lose the 12 mil SP you already have.

Keep the old toon mate, thers only 7 mill sp there acessable and ill bet heaps of it is in core skills you will have to retrain anyway.

Unless you just dont like the old one, in which case go ahead.

Agreed. I'd just pivot to the new skills.

Starting from scratch sounds nice but all those basic ship handling skills take a month or two to train. If you like the new stuff, you can strip away the 'fluff' from the toon with an extractor and either re-inject them or start a new toon and knock off the ship handling skill with the transfer from the older toon which will continue to specialize in that area. Then your new toon can specialize in another area you are interested in, but no longer starting from scratch.

I've noticed a lot of players doing similar things with their characters. Skill Injectors have really made the game more fluid and less bound up to time and pacing.

Thank you all for reply.

If not for incjectors I would for sure carry on with the old toon but since I can boost SP on a new toon pretty right away I want to do so.
I guess I will use extractors on the old one and leave it as a 5 mil SP alt to specialize on something different later on maybe.

Cya around!

Keep the first character.

A lot of skills you have developed will come in handy down the road. Don't throw away the SP. You could even use the skill injectors on your main if you're going to keep him.

Also... Welcome back.

I agree with everyone else there is no reason to start a new toon. There is no benefit. As other's have pointed out you can't move all the skill points and I think you wind up loosing some in the process and it will cost real life money to do so. IMHO you'd have to really dislike the old character.

I was in the same situation as you a few months ago. Except I had 4 mil sp less than you. I started a new char, but I left my old char untouched. Then I activated the old one as well and now I have two accounts. I much enjoy the benefits of having two chars, already three now actually. It depends on your personal preference if you want to play with more than one char, but for now I wouldn't advice to extract skills from the old one, you might want to return to your main sometime like I did.

Good luck and welcome back!
