Contracts Question

Hi, I'm trying to find a way to quickly see if I meet the minimum requirements of all items listed in a player contract. At the moment I have to go through each item to see if I can fit them and at times I need to buy a ship off contracts to join a fleet and I don't have time to go through each item to see if I meet their requirements.

Is there any sort of option for me? I have EFT installed so if there was some kind of copy option when you highlight everything in a contract I thought maybe I could paste it into EFT and check for minimum requirements there but I haven't found such a thing yet.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I know that Pandemic horde has ships up on contract for newbros to take out and fight with. You might want to try asking in your corp or Alliance chat for the answer to this.

I know that EFT can copy from clipboard but I do not know of a way to copy from contracts in a format that EFT would accept. You might be able to copy from contracts and past into a .doc and then "clean up" the formatting. You'd have to do a copy to clipboard from EFT or the in game fitting tool first to see the format that they are looking for.

Probably a better bet for you is to make up ships that fit the typical doctrines and make skill plans to fly those ships. This way you can learn which ships you can fly and which you can't while also learning how long it would take to be able to fly the fits that you can not currently fly.

At some point you will need to learn how to work with fits and now is as good of a time as any.

Great, thanks for the reply!

Like you suggest I think my best course of action is to try and understand each part of my fit and what might affect it, that's probably the best way to acquire some knowledge on ship requirements and their common fittings. I'm sure with time I'll be able to quickly skim a contract and know off the top of my head if I have the skills required to fit each item.

Pandemic Horde is a newbro friendly corp. Their fits should all be newbro friendly meaning it should not take you all that long to be able to fly them. If they are giving out ships that you need max skills to fly then they are doing something wrong.

Evemon can help you figure out how long it will take to be able to fly those ships. Also keep in mind that Evemon and eft work well together. For example you can import a fit into EFT and then alter your character's attributes until you have the skills to fit it and then export the "after plan" character to Evemon where you can import it from your clipboard to a skill plan.
