How high does corporation standing have to be in order to avoid paying a tax on ore refining?

Generally for all things taxes its around 6.6 i believe.

At +6.67 or higher standing, Corporations will stop taxing refinery use.

Note that standings are cached, so you sometimes have to logout first for a recent standings change to take effect.

The actual value is 5 / 0.75

Problem: the UI rounds. 6.67 displayed could really be 6.665 or 6.666 which are both too low, so you may find you need 6.68

Do you have to pay taxes on BPO research with +6.67 or higher standing?

Its not really a tax, its a research cost/fee. So yes. The fee is dependant on how busy the station is, i.e. how many people are currently using it.
