***Freighter Ganks have doubled in Hisec---How to avoid******

As you may have noticed, suicide ganks have increased dramatically in the notorious .5's with little or no cargo loaded.
how to avoid:
Do not carry more than 500M isk each trip.
Preferably fly Obby as it has the most tank.
skill hull upgrades,mechanics, Shield Management all to 5.
fit all lows with bulkheads 2's

If this starts getting out of scope in what CCP thinks is inline with their game design, they will nerf hi sec ganking into history.

Wouldn't be the first time this has happened with an abused game mechanic.

Last time I was here it was around a bil in cargo got you pegged.

I'm not so sure CCP's atrocious situation THEY have created is NOT abuse by players. All they need to address is the the damage output of 60 tech 1 destroyers and static tank the freighters.

If you can get 60 crazy pilots together then i guess the freighter is going to go down.

right now it seems 38 can be rounded up.

I don't know where people get this stuff. Freighter kills in March are on pace to be well below last month as well as below the six month average. Do we really need this alarmist GD post?

I guess a PSA can't hurt: Freighter pilots you should tank your ships! You should also pay attention, scout your route, fly with an escort, not carry multiple billions in cargo and get yourselves a permit. Even all of this may not save you, so remember the Golden Rules of Eve and never fly something you cannot afford to lose.

Stay strong brave freighter pilots. Your strength in the face of adversity is a real inspiration to gamers everywhere. o7

To be fair, he didn't say "doubled compared to what" in the title thread.

It's just the typical wording used in advertising: get more, it's better, it's cheaper, 2x the sheets, etc.
