Hello, capsuleers! The third Luminaire Snowball Fight was a phenomenal runaway success! Now, I bring you another event; beloved, treasured, and one that must be honored.

March 22, 2013 redefined Live Events, the EVE universe, and many of us who participated in what became known as the Battle of Caldari Prime. Regardless of what side you chose to align yourself with, I invite you to another anniversary gathering of this monumental fight!

For the sake of Live Events and gatherings.

Battle of Caldari Prime Anniversary Gathering Details
Luminaire VII, "Operation Highlander Beacon"
-above the planet itself, where the battle took place; since not everyone has the actual position of 20,000 km closer planetside saved
March 22, 2016 (Tuesday) -Note the date change!
EVE Time: 1700 (1 pm for USA EST)

Once more, I'd like this to be "a gathering of all veterans and friends of the Battle of Caldari Prime to come together to share stories and memories, and to celebrate the lives of those who served, and those lives lost." From a roleplay perspective, it can be observed as a day of victory and terrible loss. And, it can also be observed as one of the most successful live events ever executed.

Official List of Events:

* Music:
-DJ Alexei will be there! Tune in at www.eve-radio.com!

* Fireworks and snowballs:
-point and shoot; simple!
-I have plenty of spare Festival Launchers and Fireworks/Snowballs from my previous snowball fight! Poke me in station if you need one!

* Lightshows:
-prizes include PLEX, a Megathron, Rokh, and other gifts, both practical and comical as donated and discussed by Live Events or with me
-to participate, bring light-emitting modules, lasers, drones, nosferatus, shield and capacitor transfers, target painters, repair systems, and any which emulate visual effects to create the most attractive displays possible!

* "Missing Man" Formation: (actual in-game execution)
-if I get volunteers, I'll do this again. Contact me directly!
-a formations of ships to honor the departed (aircraft align in formation...one pulls up and breaks away and a specific moment: Youtube example)
***Anyone who participates on the Missing Man Formation with me will be awarded an Empire Faction Frigate of their choice (i.e., Comet, Hookbill, Firetail, or Slicer)***

* Flypasts of ships across Luminaire VII (simply crossing the planet in a large group; Wikipedia article)


* Roleplayers:
-embracing the event and taking it whenever it may go!
-I sent messages out to CCP Falcon and CCP Logibro to see if they want to come again!


Any items or ISK donated to me will be put towards prizes, or providing people with launchers and snowballs/fireworks to be fired off! The more you give, the more people can be honored!

*Event can go no further than 2030, for I have other real-life commitments beyond that time. :P*


Changes may be made based on the responses I get here and in "Live Events." I encourage everyone interested to chat with me!

Note: Since Faction Warfare rules will be enabled, Caldari militia will not be able to enter Luminaire. However, perhaps a concurrent event can be held in, say, New Caldari?


After-Party Notice:

In light of the fact that some people can't make Tuesday, but can appear Wednesday, I will host an "after-party" event on the 23rd as well in Luminaire. There won't be any lightshows or music, but I will host nonetheless for people to enjoy!

Yes, the battle took place on March 22, precisely at 1700 EVE time.

But I am working that day; therefore, I am scheduling my observance event for March 23 at 1700 EVE time.

I've never participated in this before so I got somewhat stupid questions:

1) Do we either bring Caldari or Gallente ships?
2) Is there som kind of "sign on" for TS and or participation?
3) We use only fireworks/non-damage moduels or do we also bring out the guns?

I hope someone can answer me on this so I know what to prepp :)

1: doesn't matter, fly what you like
2: don't know
3: as a peaceful event non-damage modules are preferred

I have no TS at the moment; we'll do our communication in local and fleet chat.

Fireworks and snowballs are encouraged, and I have tons and tons more if you don't have any.

You can bring whatever you like!

You know? For those who can't make the 22nd, I'll host a smaller 'thank you' gathering on the 23rd, too. No lightshows or music or anything, but I'll still be floating in Luminaire to pay my respects. :)

This celebration was great! The Missing Man formation was PERFECT!

I want to thank EVE Radio's DJ Alexei and big boss DJ Accy for putting on an awesome show for us!

Maybe next time set up the event to have a Live PvP dual between Caldari and Gallente ships only.

Only T1 ships fit with T1, T2, Faction or Officer Modules
Bracket system for advancement to the next round - Determined by entrants where the Dual function is used to assign fights.

Three different Combat Events

Ship to Ship - single pilot combat. Up to Cruiser - Ten rounds
Ship to Ship Through the Rings - Capsuleer's must use the First Person Camera to navigate through a series of of Rings
created by Small Cargo Cans set up in a ring while. First Capsuleer to cross the finish line or destroy the other ship wins.
Ships up to BC only. Ten Rounds
Mass Combat - Any Capsuleer can enter. Sides are established prior to the event where each side determines a FC and
targets assigned using the Dual function. Destroying at least 85% of the other sides ships will achieve victory.



I will donate 1,000,000,000 ISK to the event + an additional 300 million to the top Capsuleer from an event of my choosing.

Entrants fees would be 50,000,000 million ISK payable to me where the Capsuleer's name is then given to the Event Manager.

Haha I'll do it for 49.999.999,99 ISK.

An other suggestion:
On n positions throughout the system are cargo cans positioned with items in it. The first capsuleer who delivers one item of each can wins.

I like these ideas!

Stayed tuned into the Live Events Channel; the next major event I believe is going to be Federation Day for the Gallente founding, and on June 10, I'm sure Diana Kim will want to host a gathering up in Caldari space to honor the initial invasion of Luminaire by Tibus Heth.
