I suddenly find one of my clients behind a HTTP Proxy. How do I configure the HTTP Proxy and port for the launcher?

Its a laptop, so it was updated, but once it became unupdated... the problem startedWhat?. I'm unable to update it behind this nettwork.

I need to investigate this - believe it or not, this issue hasn't come up before.

Hi CCP Snorlax,

I sort of understand. Most HTTP Proxy's are optional, and without putting those in you just bypass the proxy.
On this location there is a mandatory transparant http proxy or optional explicit HTTP proxy.
Any HTTP Port 80 traffic is forced through the transparant http proxy if no explicit http proxy is used.

Not all applications handles a transparant http proxy good. EVE in itself works all fine, but the launcher gives a error.

The transparant HTTP Proxy is there to protect the limited WAN infrastructure. So there is no option. I got the admin to give me a short window now where I was excluded the policy. So I have managed to update the launcher again. At the same time, they won't give me this permanently as a policy...

Their policy here is sort of strange. Its fine to play and use bandwith, they are more worried about some HTTP bandwidth usage.

So any change that enables a explicit HTTP Proxy, or a better compability to transparant HTTP Proxy'ing would be nice.
