Gone for 15 months.. what has changed? I feel so lost..

So I know enough to research old patch notes, see what was added in expansions, etc etc.. but I feel like a lot gets lost in translation there. I've been gone since September of 2014, and reactivated today, and just have no idea where to go. My old WH corp imploded, and I'm left with 31M skillpoints scattered around the board, 500M ISK, and no real ship to my name, and I'm just confused, I guess.

Last I played I did some incursions for cash, messed around in some wormholes, and generally tried to just pick a good fight, but with each balance change the meta changes up and its hard to catch up to the current EVE metagame ESPECIALLY without a corporation, which I'm in the process of trying to find.

So, I guess what I'm asking... whats the meta now? How are people making cash nowadays- still running Lv4s, incursions, and FW? Are nullsec Corps still deadlocked.. hard to find a good one unless its a fledgling corp bound to be crushed by the big alliances? All of my previous EVE contacts seem to have stopped playing, so if anyone wants to take a (returning) newbie under their wing, shoot me a message, it would be greatly appreciated- also, any direction on resources to read up on what I've missed would be greatly appreciated- thanks!

http://updates.eveonline.com/

Lists all the changes to EVE Starting with the Kronos release (June 2014).

As for the rest, get out there and be social, try something new, make friends, or enemies, preferably both.

Welcome back to New Eden!

It depends on what you actually want to do.

Some ideas:
Try out some of the new Frostline sites
Join a pirate corp
Use that 500m to buy a few cheap ships, go lose them in low, and make some friends in the process
Try highsec ganking
Try level 4 mission running (still a good way to make ISK)
Do some ninja mining in the new mining frigates
Join an industry corp
Go to Jita and look for a legit ISK doubler
Join another WH corp and make mad ISK

Its hard right now, but it's not until you get out there and see what people are flying and doing, that you're going to find what you really want to be doing yourself. So just get out there, try some (or all) of the above, and see where it leads you. Good luck.

It depends on what you are looking for. NRDS null seems to have lots of medium gang fights. I live in Provi but I also have heard of Pheobe Freeport Alliance. I'm not sure what they are up to currently but a few months back they were opening outposts for anyone to dock at.

If you were interested in the NRDS thing send me an in game message. I am sure that I could find a corp willing to show you the ropes of NRDS null if that is what you are looking for and told me a few more specifics about what you are looking for.
