You get 12 month.

It's more like:
(you sign up for a) 12 month EVE subscription - normally $131.40
Signup and Registration fee - normally $20, includes 30 days game time as a trial upgrade reward
(instead of the above 30 days game time) Trial Upgrade Reward is 12 months game time

Any "reward" game time is consumed before subscription game time, so the "12 month reward" gets consumed first, and then they bill you for the 12-month subscription, a year from now.

So what happens is:

Your account is activated (trial restrictions removed).
You can play for 12 months.
After 12 months you get charged the normal subscription fees for another 12 months (unless you cancel or switch to fewer months).

Normally, these steps would cost:

$20 for activation (+ 1 month).
$120 for 11 more months.
After 12 months you'd get charged $131.40.

So instead of $140 you only pay $99.99 for this package, right now. Then after a year you're signed up to continue with the normal $134 package, but you can switch to fewer months if you want to.
