Quick "The Plan" Question

In the faction standing repair plan it says to do all level 1 stuff, then do ally factions level 1 stuff...then proceed to level 2.

For example, I should be able to do through level 3 data agents pretty much immediately (I already bought through level 4 tags). Is it a problem if I go ahead and do all 3 levels before moving on to COSMOS? I also want to complete all of one factions stuff before flying to the ally factions space.

AS an FYI, this was starting with a nearly fresh character, so the factions I cared about were either positive or neutral already.

If your goal is to increase faction standing, then you just do level 1 missions. They don't do much, it is the story-line mission you get after every 16 missions. Those do make a significant difference in your faction standing. Also, do the SOE arc every 3 months.

So you do level 1s because they can be done fastest. If you are trying to not hurt your faction with other empires, then do a bunch of level 1 courier agents. Then check around and make sure the nearest story-line agent is also a courier agent. Because when you trigger a storyline mission, it is the nearest storyline agent that will offer you a job.

Now if you are trying to increase your faction, not repair it, for the purpose of doing higher level missions. Then follow the traditional plan of level 1s then move up to level 2s., etc. You'll find that your faction standing increases faster than your ability to skill up the ships appropriate for those higher level missions.
