Anybody Near Detroit?

Are there any players gathering near Detroit? If so, I'd like to meet you, to see if EVE players talk to me in RL the way they talk to me in game. I'm guessing no, they don't, because nobody treats people as poorly as the typical EVE player does, but it'd be interesting to confirm -- and to offer my response, if so.

Cheers,

Seems like you were a bit too late to throw a tantrum.

Anyway, people just told you the truth. The game is not for you and there is really nothing wrong with that. Go do something you enjoy, instead of posting these passive aggressive threads.

You're right -- passive aggressive is no good. I believe in aggressive aggressive. That's why I want to have this out in person. I want to see the people who call me "scrub" etc... look me in the eye and say that.

It looks like there's another gathering planned soon. I'll look forward to meeting some of these elite capsuleers so that we can hash out our differences in a more satisfying way.

You sound like a mentally stable person :D

Hopefully you will be positively surprised and realize most EvE players are normal people. However, EvE is a game of conflict and destruction. People compete with each other and destroy each others ships and assets. It is perfectly normal. And as pointed out in your other thread, the reason you lost your POS was mainly because of your own fault.

Anyway, there is really no need to explain all this, since you are leaving anyway.

Whatever you do, I still hope you are mature enough to separate space pixels from real life. Sure, show up and be salty. As long as you are not going to hurt someone, just cause you have lost some digital items.

We're not talking about things getting destroyed. We're talking about the way people speak to me.

Their RL minds come up with RL words like "scrub" etc... and they use their RL fingers to type them knowing that they'll appear in front of my RL eyes and be transfered into my RL mind.

And perhaps they are "normal people" and so forth, and that's good, because it'll help them have a much more pleasant encounter with me if they're respectful and decent.

Not as funny to make somebody have a bad day now, is it? You don't like the sort of "content" I'm providing now, do you?

I think I can have a lot of fun providing RL content for EVE players.

Honestly, I don't really care about how you act in real life, since the chances of me meeting you are small. And even if I did meet you in real life and you told me your story. I'd still tell you, that it was your own fault and the game is probably not something for you.

And yes, this is the internet. People will call each other "scrubs". You probably should not get into a MOBA for your next game, if the word "scrub" triggers you.

Oh, the game is definitely not for me, which is why I've discontinued my subscriptions.

But, again, these people have treated me badly, and I want to see who these people are who speak to me like this.

Also: I don't play MOBAs because they are also filled with scumbags.

Really? Nobody has any smartass comments now? I wonder why.

I look forward to providing RL content for EVE soon.

Are you ok dude? It sounds like you are threatening people, and that is not acceptable.

If expecting people to treat me decently sets such a high bar that you regard it as threatening, perhaps it is you that has a problem.

In fact, perhaps it is most people who play this game, given how the community at large treats others.

Can't wait to meet you guys! I'm sure we'll all be on very agreeable behavior, no?

I'm loving the silence that's hovering over this thread now. It's confirming much of what I've always known regarding people who play EVE Online.
