In Times of Loss.

The death of an Emperor or Empress is always a trying time for Amarr. And here we are, on yet another Imperial funeral. Yet another head of heretics has died in so short a span of years. It is no wonder then that the Empire today is so sick. Sick with heresies, with cults and unholiness, of acts abhorrent to a righteous life. It is a rotting tree withering from a wound made so many millenia ago now, when it first cast out the Blessed Prophets who tried to redeem it.

To many in the Empire today, it may seem to be just another great trouble heaped upon a mountain of them. But what else can come of an unholy life, led by false prophets and heretics? Surely these endless troubles will open the eyes of those who already harbored doubts about the legitimacy of this false Empire built on lies and deceit.

As ever, we of the true faith stand ready and prepared to accept those who would cast off the trappings of false theology forced upon them by enemies of our Creator. They who are courageous enough to accept the charge of balancing the scales of sin and justice. As part of our humanitarian outreach, the Seekers of a Silent Paradise have prepared education facilities across the Empire within the major Family systems, where all who would return to the Righteous Path may find solace and sanctuary.

Loss and doubt are universal experiences of our poor existence as human beings. But they need not be suffered alone. The Lord's eyes are always upon us, and through each other, you may reach clarity in these most trying times, and ready to set about the true work of making the Lord's garden pure once again, until we all return to Heaven.

I heard that the Seekers recently declared war on the evil space nuns, but were compelled to surrender, and pay a substantial cash sum in reparations.

In which case I raise an eyebrow questioningly.

Good Sir.

I think you will find Koronakesh of an entirely different quality than Naupilus.

One little more than a raving jester, the other.….

Your comparison is superfluous and unwise.

I remember you.

Sometime loyalist. Sometime Angel. Sometime Fractionist.

Whom do you serve today?

And why do you choose this time to return from the shadows?

Ah, the infamous Koronakesh,

The man with a "book of names, and a black rose of death for each and every one of 'em". Yet a man quiet for two years, now returns with the plan to educate us all.

Before your first class starts, answer this question for us... why has thee returned from the grace of the dead?

The Blood Raiders also have this thing called *schools*, where they educate the young Blooders what it means and the proper way to worship their Red God. Also basic education like reading and writing and how to do arithmetic.

You should go check that out.

Sneak in an assassin to kill the victorious Heir doing the day of his coronation, of course. The others were already dead by the time of coronation.

Kill the one who wins.
A good idea.Twisted
But how to do it.

Death by clone mercenaries in thick robes.

Use snipers and assembled guns with ceramic housing and firing mechanism, magazine and barrel hidden in scan-proof canisters smuggled into the palace a few days in advance.

Palace security will definitely anticipate what I mention though.

Ya think? What with that being the most obvious method and all.

For the first time since I started the conversation, he looks me dead in the eye. In his gaze are steel jackhammers, quiet vengeance, a hundred thousand orbital bombs frozen in still life.

I am trained to clear hallways and mess around with bulkheads, ship reactors and power conduits so that is the extent of my knowledge in ungentlemanly warfare. I am sure a true cloak and dagger enthusiast can come up with something more creative.
