With the tolling of the last mourning bell silenced and the state funeral complete, we now turn as one people of Holy Amarr to the Succession Trials. The Empire must, have an Emperor; it is imperative to our faith. We have seen what happens when we do not with the Blooder interregnum. And like all the other loyalist corps, the Order of Jamyl has decided to take a neutral position.

There are two reasons for this. The first is that the Order is not a Sarumite organization. We are Jamylites. While we do recognize that a significant portion of Empress Jamyl I’s life was as the heir of the Sarum Family, and do revere her for her actions she took as such, when she became Empress, she was Empress of all of the Amarr. The Jamylite Order welcomes with open arms anyone in the Empire that wishes to serve God and Empire in her example.

The second is that we, as the Holy Mother, recognize the strengths of all the heirs. The Empire is served by the diverse strengths of all of us, serving God in our own way. Any of the heirs will, with God’s grace, make a good Emperor or Empress.

We recognize Lord Ardishapur’s piety and faith. No one would doubt his deep devotion, outstanding even among the upper strata of Imperial society.

We recognize the insights of Lord Kador. He has modernized the ‘Old Empire’ in a way that keeps its grandeur.

We recognize the changed man of Lord Kor-Azor. “But true meekness is one that has penetrated and laid its roots in the very heart of a man.” He is a worthy successor to Emperor Doriam II.

We recognize the steel of Lord Sarum. He follows greatly in House Sarum’s tradition of being the sword of the Empire.

We recognize the recognize the drive of Lady Tash-Murkon. She is an exemplar of economic might and the benefit of hard work.

Each of the Order’s members are released to follow their own conscious and loyalties. Even though some of us will support different heirs, at the end of the trials we will all be Amarr. And together, we will all kneel before the new Emperor or Empress and serve the Sacred Throne.

We recognize the ambition of Garekh Khanid, cherished by his people of Dark Amarr. May his stake to the throne represent the unification of the children of God, the Amarr and Khanid.
