I, Mitara Newelle-Shutaq, pledge whatever support I can give in the upcoming succession trials to Heir Merimeth Sarum. I was blessed being raised by vassals of this Great House, the House of my beloved Empress, and I shall forever be it's servant.

I can see none better to continue to guide the Empire in the spirit and wisdom of Empress Jamyl I than her own nephew, having been selected by the elders of House Sarum to be her Heir.

Yeah Lord Sarum is great, but when I read the news article it seemed to indicate one may not choose who they fight for, that you will just prove your worth in a tournament and if an heir likes you they will pick you, and no matter who it is, you have to fight for them. Although I suppose I would rather pick someone that already wanted to fight for me if I was in that position.

I don't know if you read something different into it maybe I'm wrong.

EDit: I did get it cleared up from a superior! It seems definitely one does choose who they will fight for if chosen. Sorry for being so stupid.

Merimeth Sarum is the extension of our late Empress. He is the one that will lead us with His light. The Sarum Family is blessed and has always been with the righteousness that is His will.

Merimeth Sarum is the Emperor the Amarr Empire needs.

I wanted to wait until a public ruling was made on King Khanid but it looks like the higher ups are going to remain silent on my choice, which may be obvious already. But let's face it - whatever is good for Sarum is good for The Kingdom and the Empire. I must declare my support for Merimeth Sarum, Lord of my mother's holdings and I believe the best guess for who God will choose as Emperor. He is strong, fair, balanced and will remain filial to his aunt's wishes for the Empire. A strong, faithful and ancient family, the Sarums have always looked to securing the future of the Empire on every level, with secure borders and a strong military.

With the evils of the Imperium and the Drifters rampaging across our holy lands, now more than ever we need a Sarum on the throne.

I was born a Kadorite noble. However, in these dark times, or war and strife, the Empire needs a Sarum on the throne. While I would not presume to put forth myself as a combatant or a champion, I will hold every one of you close in my prayers.

It is a pity but the relationship between parents and Jamyl were terrible.
When she dreamed of becoming Empress, her father was not happy with that she asked of succession. He wanted to see the boy heir. As the the first-born.
But Jamyl did not give up and walked to his dream. And because of this relationship with the family became awful.
Heir did not mention about the to her niece.
Soon, everyone will forget about her.

But of those who wanted to that she had lived too little.
And those who wanted to remove her from his throne much.

Ah yes I remember the battle. I cannot say much for you, however the man you follow is nothing more than a coward. A coward who insisted on fighting at his tower while out-numbering the enemy.
