I'd like to announce the confirmed details for the Eve Dublin - Irish Player Gathering Pub Day. It will be a fun packed day with events, drinking, and just a wee bit of craic (Irish language word for fun). Come join me and your fellow Irish Eve Players to meet, drink and win prizes!

Date: Saturday September 5th
Start Time: 4pm - Till Closing
Location: The Long Stone Pub - Townsend Street Dublin 2

I have the upstairs area booked which can fit up to 40 people.
Very techie/nerd friendly (Google, Ubuntu, TCD Compsci parties etc.)
Great pub food: Burgers, large platters of glorious fried foods.

Excellent smoking area outside that's covered, heated and has several pool tables.
Cool features: A large stone fireplace of the head and mouth of the Norse god Odin and an awesome tree staircase.

9:30pm - Guinness "race" to the bottom. Quickest downing of a pint of the black stuff.

what a great day yesterday was, much beer was drank, there was much talk of internet spaceships, lore quiz was briliant fun, most where very surprised that they knew a lot more about the lore than they expected Big smile
a very well run event and i can't wait for the next one.

Now the hangover has finally subsided I'll come to the thread.

Fantastic night, really well organised , many props to Joseph Barnacle O'Sullivan.
poker was fun, no one seemed to expect any sort of competency out of someone that drunk , came second ,won a plex.

Highly recommend anyone who wasn't there keep an eye out for future events, particularly if they're Joseph's.
