Item Exchange Contract creation not working?

I'm trying to item-exchange contract a single 5 m^3 item to another character, and I'm getting this error:

No Owner can be found with "{ character name }" in the beginning of its name.

Seems to be a problem regardless of solar system or region I'm in.


Edit/addition: Bug logged.

Further: Logging out/in fixed it

Further: Logging out/in isn't working for some people (see below.) CCP?

Same problem. Logging in and out did not fix the issue.

I also cannot find people using the Agents and Places search.

Edit: Other people in my corp tried contracting items, with no problem. Auto-link does not appear to work for me either.

yup have the same problem with all my characters as well
