Launcher keeps patching the same patch

Every time that I open the launcher it immediately downloads a 12.47MB patch. Then it has to go through the verification process. After it verifies, it sometimes downloads anywhere from 1-20MB of additional patch. Obviously, this is not due to a recent patch.

Why does the launcher keep doing this?
The game was perfectly fine without this stupid launcher!

Did you try to use the Repair tool ?

if the repair tool it give your an error, just click OK and run it again

Thanks for the suggestion but I refuse to rely on the repair tool in order to play this stupid game. There are way to many problems with the game now, especially the launcher for the repair tool to be a sufficient fix. Relying on jumper cables to start your car every time is not the proper way to fix a continuously dead battery. The proper fix would be to replace the broke ass alternator.

CCP has intentionally ruined everything that makes Eve run properly by refusing to do any product testing or quality assurance. I don't trust the content they deliver and I would rather take my money elsewhere.

The only 'repair tool' I will be using is completely uninstalling Eve and not renewing subscriptions.
That will fix dealing with a game that has been train-wrecked by CCP.

The continuous re-downloading sounds like a variation on the chigger of rechecking shared resource cache that was going on earlier. That's fixed for some, not all. Repair.exe and rescache.exe are no guarantee of it fixing and stopping. Right now the current 'official' workaround on the Launcher is running a pre-release version linked in another thread in this section, and getting fast with the user discovered temporary workarounds for specific bugs.

Forget moar wingy bits at this point. WTT Orca (unfitted) for a working stable reliable Launcher PLZ.
