Black screen on unodck, loading times

CCP. You dropped the ball.

This needs fixing asap. Every time i load the game, on my first undock, it takes almost a minute for space to load up, i just have a black screen.

Which wouldn't be all that problematic, except i'm ON GRID THE ENTIRE TIME.

30-50 seconds on grid on undock before i can anything. In low sec.


In the launcher i've set download all resources to true, and i did download them, except the game acts as if i never did.

Gimme back my old client ffs, **** this cache thing

Please send a bug report including in-client logs, best from the client after such a black screen happened (F12 - Report Bug). This is for sure not supposed to happen, so it would be great to take a closer look at this - maybe something is configured incorrectly or failing in your specific case.

thanks, will do, but, how i do i get the client log? the game does not crash, so i get no error report

I'm getting the same thing.

Moreover, I can't get the client to respond. I can hear sound, but a black screen as I sit in space.

Just before it happened, I had jumped through a gate. After loading grid, I tried to warp to a bookmark and could not. After exiting and relaunching, I get black screen. A reboot did not solve the issue. Drivers are up to date.

Just sending a bug report directly from the client will include a client log. It is not as detailed as a log from logserver (see the bug reporting link in my signature), but it is in most cases enough to identify bugs. It also includes some client performance logs, which might be helpful in your case.

This is not an old PC.

Today, at least, I have progress. I now get a black screen that only lasts 30 seconds. But at least I can play. Bug report submitted

Nope, not an old pc, 4790k, gtx970, 16gb ram, loading from ssd, updated drivers
