Dev blog: Announcing Alliance Tournament XIII

Mark the day! Alliance Tournament XIII will be kicking off on August 15th, 2015 and with that we will see again exciting matches, incredible spaceship action, joy and tears and all the good stuff that comes with the famous Alliance Tournament!

We will also have an EVE TV Player Commentator Team. You are most welcome to apply to be a commentator; the deadline for applications is Sunday May 24th.

There will not be any streaming on the first weekend. Just on the second two weekends.

And it will be two matches starting at the same time.

Great, we have a week to find an alliance to play with/in! CCP, next time tell us after the deadline, so that people that actually want to participate get completely screwed...

Not even bothered commenting the rest. All packed in 3 weeks, impossible to watch 2 matchs at the same time, no stream the first week...what happened last year so you have to make this year's tournament so ******?

Let's hope the art team manages to create the red/blue AT-SKINS idea that came up in the SKIN-bug thread in time, so I can show the matches to my wife (and she gets what's going on...)

Very sad to hear the first weekend won't be streamed. Please stream, even if no commentary and some are delayed!

Is there anyway to at least record and post those matches? Some of the most exciting - and hilarious, truthfully - matches of the tournament occur during the first weekend!

And THANK YOU THANK YOU for killing the last two years' deadline-passed-before-announced deadline. I still wish the deadline was closer to the actual tournament date, but this is a major improvement in handling the deadline and much appreciated!

Even without streams of the first weekend matches, we will still be opening up the public CREST endpoint that allows players to follow along with wonderful 3D viewers like the one at Null-Sec.com/

CCP Veritas left the company, if you're wondering what's changed between this year and last. The other points you're complaining about; the deadline was more severe in previous years and except for last year they didn't do the stream until the final two weekends so nothing's really changed there.

Still, would be nice to have a couple of streams with afk cloaked spectators with the tactical overlay up if nothing else. Wouldn't take much effort and people would still definitely be interested in it, even if the production value isn't particularly high

Also calling it now: Prize will be a gallente EAF with bonuses to damps and railguns using the tristan model and a Jove/drifter model cruiser with a railgun/damp focus. Both covops cloak capable with drifter/Jove influences.

Well, it has been said repeatedly that this is the tournament for actual alliances, so maybe you should just play with the one you're in the rest of the year.
