So attempting to get the test client going again and not having much luck.

Right now it looks like the client is asking for a patch from the CDN that doesn't exist? Digging into it with Wireshark shows so.

As a result the Launcher stays at 0%

Any ideas?

Hmmm, I was able to patch about one hour ago.

Could you see which file it is trying to download? Is there anything in launcher logs about the problem? Is it trying to patch the client itself or downloading resources?

Here's what Wireshark is showing me.

GET /869616/EVE_Online_869010-869616_win.zip HTTP/1.1

Host: cdn1.eveonline.com

Accept-Encoding: identity

HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found

Client says CREATING EVE_ONLINE_869010-869616_WIN.PATCH 0.0% and stays there.

No logs form what I see.

As answered in the other thread: The first request should fail - this file does not exist for this patch.
After this it should be requesting /RepairData_869616.dat.

What is stated in launcher log files at this point? I assume this part should start with:
- root - createHttpPatch - INFO - Creating HttpPatch using url: http://cdn1.eveonline.com/869616/RepairData_869616.dat for amount: 0/0

Interesting - I'll need to check with CCP Atropos regarding this tomorrow. Could you please write a bug report and add the whole log file and some description about it. It might also be interesting to check if you can find this file _PlanetResources.dll in the \bin\ folder of your Singularity client.

Well, That isn't working as well

"An unexpected error occurred while submitting your bug report. Please try again later."

That file is there in bin.

Oh, could you please try it again, but this time zip the logfile first? It seems like in some cases the bug reporting website has problems with uploading some text files.

Thanks for the help.

Turns out my proxy dislikes EVE for some reason.

All is well and working now :)

Just to update this a bit more i use a firewall/network security distribution called Sophos UTM on my router and added a regex exception for *.eveonline.com not to scan or do anything to it and it started working fine.

May be of use to other people.
