Hi all,

Happy New Year!

EDU Gaming is hosting another competition involving Eve Online.

A big part of any business is its ability to promote its product and the gaming industry is no exception. Advertising remains a vibrant sector in the job market and this competition give you the opportunity to show off your promotional and fan-art skills.

To enter simply post your best screen shot from Eve Online here:

Prize:

The winner of this competition will receive one Plex.

Competition rules:


  • Closing date for this competition will be 1st March 2015.
  • The forum thread will be locked at midnight on the 1st March to stop any additional posts.
  • Winners will be announced on 5th March 2015.
  • Image touch-ups using photo software are acceptable.
  • One entry will be counted per user only.
  • Posts containing inappropriate language will be removed from the thread.
  • Prizes are non-transferable.
  • All submissions must be your own work.
  • All submissions must abide EDU Gaming Terms and Conditions.


You are welcome to comment on this competition here but only posts made on EDU Gaming will be counted in the competition.

Having to pick just one...glad I have until March.

After the winning and celebrations and merriment and mhey hey is all said and done, are you going to do anything else with the entries'/winner's screenshot? Are you going to run a promotion using said shot/s??

Hey guys,

Thanks for getting involved! A couple of very nice shots so far Smile

We will be having some updates to the EDU Gaming website over the next couple of months and one of the things we would like to include is a 'hall of fame' where we can show off our community members who have got involved with the project as well as our competition winners.

With permission from the artists, we may look to use some of these works to promote the EDU Gaming project but that will be discussed with individuals once the competition has been concluded. The project itself is still new so help from our community and use of their work (like these screenshots) would be very much appreciated and will help to develop the project further and get more people involved.

We have a lot of plans in the pipeline, but of course, we will need support from people like yourself to really move forward. For more information about EDU Gaming developments and our upcoming plans have a look at this post:

You're welcome to go to town with modifications. We're interested in seeing your artistic talent whether its creative or simply 'landscape capture'. Whatever you think promotes the game the best should be fine.

All I'd say is just make sure there is nothing offensive and that it conforms to intellectual property laws and all will be good (we have permission from CCP to use their content).

I use 99% what the game gives me,
as I'm no fan of taking whole images and planting them on or around avatars.

I'll see what I can come up with, it's still a lot of time.


The real challenge is picking the right one out of hundreds until March ... :/

Hmmmm.... picking one of thousands... going to be tough though I have some good ones. I used to run a screenshot archive for Homeworld so its an old habit to break.
