Stuck on lvl 4 mission - Anomic Team

I lost my first ship in this mission because the eve survival guide has wrong information. It says to tank EM damage and to do EM damage, well its completely wrong, within a few seconds I died to faction kinetic rockets, not em damage....

My bad it's in the mission details what is used I just went by the eve survival guide.

Mission details....

The leader of this gang flies a Hawk-class Assault Frigate. She deals her damage through Rocket Launchers armed with Caldari Navy Scourge Rockets and she always fits a Stasis Webifier and Warp Scrambler. She is backed up by two allies in Bantam-class Support Frigates, which can use Remote Shield Transporters to keep themselves and their leader alive. I advise you to do everything in your power to eliminate the Bantams early in the fight.

I have already lost 2 ships trying to do this and it does not seem worth the bother.

Any idea or help is appreciated.

That's one of the new burner missions, I haven't tried one yet so I can't offer much by way of advice, though the link above has the best info available.

Mission details tell you explicitly that you will be hit with Kinetic missiles. You chose not to tank against kinetic and you got popped. Trust the in-game description next time as the surival page could be from the test server and about the first iteration of the missions.

Also, I'm sure ES team would love if you went and corrected that info, it is a wiki after all!

OP did actually leave feedback on the Wiki Adrie.

It's most likely just because Burner missions are new and the entries haven't been through very many iterations.

Completed this using a hawk with pith c-type med booster. Focused down the bantams then finished off the hawk rat. Used medium crystal implants, liberal use of overheating and a whole lot of burning around

From what I have been told burner missions are very hard to solo even in a faction ship that is deadspace fit. Most people do them in groups.

Also you are not even a month old and trying to do this extremely difficult content alone. Eve is not meant to be played alone get some friends to help you. I've got over 100 million skill points and have been playing this game since 2009 and I would not try one of these alone.

These new burner missions do not affect standing if you fail them or decline them from what I've read. If it's too difficult and you don't want to get friends then just skip it.

As above, burner missions are hard. As new as you are, either get a wingman or skp 'em.

I cancelled the mission in the end, then got the exact mission amarr version lol

So now my mate is going to help me, wish us luck lol

Remember you can decline burners with no corp hit.

We did it with T1 frigs :) Friend in kestrel and me in tristan.

Be careful in number of offers for burner missions they all had SAME name so read the details.

We just got wrecked in the serpentis burner mission lol 35km+ damage range and 18km web range and you warp in right on top of them lol Maybe in AF but not t1 frigs lol

Oh well atleast I know how to do the Team Burners with T1 frigates now :) But yeah not the solo burners....insane what those npc's can do lol Even killed my drones lol.

People were tried of boring missions so they made burners more of a challenge. I'm glad you found a solution. As far as I know they also don't incur standing penalties so you can always reject them if you're not in the mood.

the kite garmur makes the team burner missions pretty much an afk snooze fest. although you do need pretty much perfect skills for it for a few. the caldari/minmatar ones are the easiest as the logi frig have big EM holes, the exp hole on the amarr/gallente ones isn't as big, and I nearly burn my launchers out on the gallente one. vs amarr I use a blaster daredevil which is reasonably easy as it only does EM damage.

it sounds like if you fit an ECM mod it will make the team burners very easy as once the jam goes off that logi frig will fly away and you can kill the other one quickly, then kill the other logi frig and the burner

the pirate burners are a little more interesting, but the answer in general seems to be use a daredevil.
