visual anomaly in Ono

So I'm tripping thru several worm holes a few days back and I'd started in hisec, into a lowsec normal space region. I end up scanning down several more worm holes one of which leads back into hisec. Ono. First thing I notice once in system is this strange anomaly (pic1 - pic2) has this been identified yet ?

Yes, that is Carolina's Star and it's (presumably) supernova remnant wave of charged particals and gas.

And to follow up on the above post - this can be seen in varying degrees of detail across New Eden at the moment.
