We currently have 4 Genolution implants. I'm not proposing to let the CA-3 and CA-4 actually drop somewhere (would be nice), but to at least implement the final 5th.

Current implants
Genolution CA-1
Quote:
Slot 1
Primary Effect: Boosts perception by 3
Secondary Effects: Provides +1.5% powergrid and capacitor amount bonus
Implant set bonus: 50% bonus to the strength of all Genolution implant secondary effects

Genolution CA-4
Quote:
Slot 2
Primary Effect: Boosts memory by 3
Secondary Effects: Provides +1.5% ship agility and armor hit points bonus
Implant set bonus: 20% bonus to the strength of all Genolution implant secondary effects

Genolution CA-3
Quote:
Slot 3
Primary Effect: Boosts willpower by 3
Secondary Effects: Provides +1.5% ship velocity and shield capacity bonus
Implant set bonus: 30% bonus to the strength of all Genolution implant secondary effects

Genolution CA-2
Quote:
Slot 4
Primary Effect: Boosts intelligence by 3
Secondary Effects: Provides +1.5% CPU and capacitor recharge bonus
Implant set bonus: 40% bonus to the strength of all Genolution implant secondary effects

This is a nice set and provides some meaning. The price for the rare 3 and 4 is way too high. They definetly should drop somewhere. To my knowledge they still only are in the collector's edition and worth around 2.3 billion a pop.

Slot 5
Primary Effect: Boosts Charisma by 3
Secondary Effects: Provides 1.5% Warp Speed and Hull Hit points
Implant set bonus: 10% bonus to the strength of all Genolution implant secondary effects

Hull is the one missing in the tanks, warp speed is something that got introduced since the implementation of those plugins and is the only thing that comes to my mind that isn't covered yet and doesn't involve guns/missiles/pew.

Implant set bonus should be 10% to keep with the theme but I'm bad at maths. Maybe more is valid as well.

Any comments?

I would prefer that the CA-5 gives to shield boost and armor rep.

If you don't follow the rules, neither will I.

I sort of like the warp speed over some kind of "buffer" or "active tank" boost.

Then it goes and contests the slaves and crystal sets...

Warp speed and scan resolution would be my prefrences for CA-5, as things that are almost always useful and not in common sets like crystals or slaves.

Omega would need to be tuned down to 25-40% to keep it from completely unbalancing the set.

Make CA-5 obtainable only from NPC LP Store.
10b flat price.
One of the bonuses ... your pod become nullified Twisted

THis will be very interesting - nullified pod , or full slave set on your titan :)

Already can do slave sets on titans.

Nullified pod is just plain wrong and counter to the fundamental concept of risk/reward.

I personally WOULD like to see genolution drop. They can stay rare and expensive, but it is a neat looking set so it is kind of disappointing to not see more use of it. (and as great as special edition and exclusive items are, due to the nature of EvE anything that is irreplaceable rarely leaves the station, and it's incredibly disappointing to see effort put into things that are never used.)

Anyways, I definitely like this idea, and it certainly fits the theme (moderate tanking, fitting and maneuvering bonuses).
Do we also want an omega implant to boost the effect of the rest of the set? (I vote yes.) So far Genolution implants have been released as pairs.

It will be interesting to see if more genolutions come out as gifts in the future. Also, all the pirate sets have 6 implants, so the genolutions could as well, though the omegas are usually the most rare and expensive which is scary considering the already high proice of the ca-3/4

The genolutions set was a generic core set. I thought slot-5 was suppose to be hull hp's and shield recharge rate, although this was from a long time ago.

Well you realize how long it took them to release the 2nd set of genolution implants right? So I would give it another year or 2, maybe 3.

And I'm still kicking myself for not buying a bunch of the 3 and 4's when they were sub 200m.

I have long thought that we need a CA-5 to complete the set. Furthermore, I agree with the notion of it being warp speed and scan res instead of more tanking stuff.

I thought the 5th was rumoured to be sensor strength and targeting range.

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.

Please take note the bonus on the current one might get slightly nerfed if they add the 5th one as the bonus are getting bigger and bigger.

Each of the genolution implants thus far have been in accordance with the "Core Competency" certificate (which is now gone).

Quote:
Core Fitting:
CA-1: Powergrid and CPU

Core Capacitor :
CA-2: Capacitor Capacity and Capacitor Recharge

Core Navigation:
CA-3: Agility and Speed

Core Integrity:
CA-4: Armor Capacity and Shield Capacity

This leaves the final 'Core', 'Core Targeting'. The only stat buffs included in it that apply here are:

Quote:
Core Targeting:
CA-5: Targeting Range and Signature Resolution

I don't take credit for it - this guy is the one who figured it out, last year. This is almost certainly it - and I would certainly fly with those five (along with an Omega).

I kind of hope that the CA-5 and Omega end up getting released through the mystery code first - I'd certainly love that Smile

+1 This set should be completed before we all grow to old to play video games.
