In the interest of disclosure, since It has become a hot topic as of late:

I have resigned my position with the Gradient corporation, effective as of 2 December YC 116, following a period of deteriorating relations between myself and some individuals in Gradient management regarding recent events in the corporation's history, and following my rather sudden, and surprising, demotion from CFO to baseline employee.

All of the signs made me believe that I would be "let go", so I decided to save face - and my ego - and tender my resignation. This was very much a "You can't fire me, I quit" move on my part. I do not wish to place blame onto the entirety of the Gradient organization, nor do I wish them ill as a whole.

I have founded Tuonelan Virta as a nod to the finality of this; once you cross the dark river, you never go back. I am well aware that the events of the past week very much form a "dark river" between myself and Gradient. We will announce official corporate plans and models as those become available - I have never led a corporation before, so, very much a learning experience for me.

Myself and the Late-Rise Clan do wish to thank Gradient for their service, and for the years of support and employment they have provided for us, and their service to the Republic as a whole. We wish the corporation and its members good fortune as the present becomes the past. I was angry over the events that transpired. Who wouldn't be? However, I do not wish for "Gradient kicked me" to become my battle cry. From now on, may Gradient eat cake.
