Man, there are some beautiful lossmails up there.

Apparently "elite PvP" means "My navy battleship needs two sebos to whore on killmails harder".

Ouch.

Everything in EVE is a trap.

And if it isn't, it's your job to make it a trap...:)

Guys, you're doing it wrong. The following was in a Marmite member's channel.

[ 2014.08.03 03:19:33 ] xXDewayneXx > anya i think rvb gonna disband
[ 2014.08.03 03:19:42 ] Anya Klibor > No chance in hell.

[ 2014.08.03 03:20:12 ] xXDewayneXx > well lets count this
[ 2014.08.03 03:20:16 ] xXDewayneXx > a lot of fkin mercs
[ 2014.08.03 03:20:18 ] xXDewayneXx > ALOT
[ 2014.08.03 03:20:21 ] xXDewayneXx > vs rvb
[ 2014.08.03 03:20:32 ] Anya Klibor > Means nothing. RvB is in habitual war.

Maybe I have a differing opinion on the importance of being "dunked" from spending the past year in J space... But I'm at a loss here. Marmite gets ragged when they don't fight. Marmite gets ragged when they do fight...

We all lose fights. We all have "that guy" who does dumb **** and has that special way of fitting his stuff....

Deccing RvB is a task that is pretty huge. Daunting and would need a horrific amount of organization, for it to be pulled off with minimal losses.

I think the Mercs didn't really know, or take into account how terrifying RvB can be when it goes purple. You have two 3000+ man corps coming together, and blobbing anything in sight. For every merc there are about 5 RvBer's. 2 out of 5 of those members tend to higher skilled, and the other new-ish players.

But the real advantage that RvB has over ever merc corp, is this, They are basically one alliance, organized, and laughably fat on blobs and isk to burn. RvB can go from Red vs Blue to, Purple this **** up and lets go to Jita with a 30 man fleet.

The Mercs that have allied in, are all working within their own corps not really working together. Which is a huge mistake, as it needs to be a combined effort if they want to break RvB. Which honestly I can't see happening. That and according to EVE who, marmite is around 250, Space Warriors is 223, Fa is 123, so on and so forth, there's a bunch of smallish Mercs, like POH, my corp, and so on. The Mercs don't even come close the RvB's member count even if they worked in harmony.

And if any merc thought that RvB would be a pushover, that would surprisingly arrogant. we are going up against thousands of pvp experience pilots who generally fight on even terms, and lose ships so often that it doesn't even both them in the slightest, they are problem the epitome of Highsec PvP. Nothing else to say about it.

However I'm sure they are all having a largely fun time, and hopefully no butthurt forms (doubtable) have been filled out.

I have to admit, threads like these always surprise me.
Not only do they have the "oh they got killed now they dumb" factor, but they also have the "These guys are terrible because they fought". Now i wasn't there, so i can't say who was the dumb **** or not, or if someone was.
However what i can say, is that i always find it funny when people have to show their penis and say "look at my D*ck, it's amazing!".
I'm really sorry to break this to you, but no one wants to see your ****, keep it in your pants.
The entire reason that no one wants to fight in the first place, is because you almost always get flamed on for trying.

As for the crowd that's "But all these people allied in they should win", let me explain something about this new improved sec system. If you ally in on a war, it's you against the wardeccer, if you attempt to rep any of your allies, you will go suspect.
So since you linked the Reddit thread & the KM report, you can see this is going on in Jita. (facepalm™)

I could really go on but honestly, it's just not worth the effort. #lazy

Marmite gets ragged on because the majority of their kills are freighters or unsuspecting industrialists, wartargets, i.e. people that wont shoot back.

This leads to an inflated killboard that looks good on paper but is meaningless when trying to gauge the skill or success of pvp pilots.

Thus, when Marmite forms a fleet, undocks, leaves the undock and actually engages people that shoot back they get wrecked everytime.

Its the novelty man. Maybe Tora can hire Noir. for some fleet pvp training

You have to admit, though: Marmite brings it on themselves. With players like NightmareX, Tora, and Holey constantly posting about how awesome they are, how much better they are than all of us, and how we don't know anything when we tell them leaving the undock gets them killed, it's just simply confirming "Open mouth, insert foot" applies in almost every post by a Marmite.

I spy yet another fleet engagement where the completely risk adverse Sol Epoch didn't attend. Why does anyone allow this pillock into their ranks?

I guess some things will never change. What?

These 2 posts pretty much sum it up. Marmite like to harp on about how spectacular they are and how nobody can compare with them, while thy sit on an undock and 10-man kill noobships and industrials, then they get into a real fight and it's a heavy dunkathon. It just confirms what we already know and amuses greatly.

Tbh rvb didnt have enough feroxs to 1-2 volly a proper fit bs so they must of been slow on broadcasting for reps lel

Yah people just love to rag on marmite :P. I mean I used to go to lowsec on occasion when i was marmite and I'd have warring factions blue up to chase my ship from sheer hate. It was so gold :D

ooo we know how problematic is to get in war with RVB. So much that we (at least us) have special protocols for that type of thing.

Not all of the merc groups went badly against RVB on the weekend. And clearly the main problem was to keep such a large number of groups that have completely different modus operandi working together. Pursuit mostly kept doing what we always do.. avoiding blobs and eating on the borders ( wont insult anyone posting killmails, everyone in this forum knows how to find them).

Groups like RvB are a great different tactical challenge. Interesting because they provide a shuffle on the tactics used.

Geddons/Domis project damage as well as any 250mm railgun if not better since its a drone boat, sentries and/or geckos gives the geddon a good base 800dps from drones alone at pretty much any range, their fits however can be discussed but the geddon in it self wasnt a bad choice. They were simply outflown and again proven they should probably go back to gatecamping from looking at the killboard, a drone boat with simply onl damage imp mods and your sentries just wont hit much seems they forgot the ground rule of if you dont hit you aint doing damage.

Again.. people forget that you Cannot repair people from other alliances even in our combined fleet without going suspect (and that in JITA proximity is almost suicidal on a large group that draws unwanted attention. Well I was not on that fleet... (we were cutting reinforcements with our 6 man gang ensuring every single kill was a double kill) but as far as I heard...the selected tactic against a group of long range feroxes seems was not really the best (specially considering the logistics issues). RvB on other hand had a much better established logi group there. Also they were not using Geddons and domis, so the guy you quoted was right... not the correct battleships to counter that.

Pity eve mechanics ensure every fight escalates in a concentration of several dozens of ships, with no chance of spreading. It would have been an incredibly fun afternoon if the mechanics promoted fleet spliting ( POCOs havign 1/8th of their current EHP would be a great start)

Old face to the forums culo, you weren't even there as you stated also the whole allied repping thing how do you think red got on repping blue? ALL our logi was suspect all through the fight too so you can't throw that up. Marmite got dunked big time the battle report shows for it, RvB are not scared of any merc corps, god we have EVERY HS merc corp deccing us right now and all they can still do is catch the odd stragler on gate camps and station. RvB are more respected as a whole by the EVE community because they have great leadership and do more stuff than just HS frig battles... we do daily NULL roams and run the biggest Public roam in EVE.

Look at the our Logi kills, all Neutrals. Go back to your HS hole.
