L4 Epic Arcs as of today...

So, I've recently been reading up on the Epic Arcs (the l4 ones) and have become interested in running one. Since I have only done the SOE Arc a few times and about a bajillion L4s, I was wondering about what ship to gun for in running the Amarr Arc. The question is, would a T2 tanked Paladin (I'd prefer pulse fit, but I may bring along some tachyons if needed) be overkill, or would another ship be better? The other question is how heavy is the neuting (every guide I've read suggests several missions have there far share of neut npcs/towers)?

P.S., I've heard that the Amarr Arc doesn't hit low sec as long as you stay on the Amarr side. Is that true or outdated info?

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

I ran them all in a MJD sentry Rattlesnake and never had issues with neuts. The only major annoyance was the Caldari one, where there was a ton of jamming. Would've been very difficult without being in a drone boat with auto-targeting missiles.

Paladin will do them fine, especially if you make sure to take out neuts first.

The only arc that requires low or nullsec is the Caldari arc. The others have a highsec-only path.

Things that keep me up at night;  Why do we use a voice communication device to send telegraphs? Moore's Law should state, Once you have paid off the last PC upgrade you will need another.

If you can fly a marauder the epic arcs are pretty much a joke.

Gallente still can put out some good DPS, but with liberal use of a MJD its not hard to mitigate

Minmater- I can't really remember much about this one of any consequence. Pretty easy.

Caldari- Jamming? Press bastion and laugh

Amarr- Tracking disruption? Press Bastion and laugh. Some neuting but i never had it cause any issue.

I've done them all in a cheap MJD Maelstrom and don't remember any issue with neuting - just take them out first.

I did need help for the Amarr and Caldari arc, but that was just to get the TDs/ECMs off me so that I could actually shoot something. With EWAR immunity, they are all trivial.

As for Epic Arc guides, I find Jowen's pdfs better than eve-survival: http://go-dl.eve-files.com/media/corp/jowen/

Thanx for the info, guys. I had a good feeling the Paladin would be more than capable, just that I hadn't flown one since before Rubicon and figured the neuting would be the biggest threat. I might bring a cap injector just to be safe, but I doubt I'll need it from the sound of it. Rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it, though, right? I have yet to shake my neut-phobia on active tanks, but judging by the numbers I'm seeing with the fit I've chosen on Pyfa, the cap injector isn't taking up needed space anyways.

I just ran the Amarr arc with a mostly T2 paladin (faction repper, 2 faction HS for bling) and for the 2 first parts (which are those I used the Paladin for) I used 3 cap booster charges (I wish I could tell you in which mission but I can't remember). It works wonderfully.

The low sec part was incredibly easy up to the last mission (second to last wasn't hard but did require training hacking to 4). Last mission had me warp out 3 times in an oddly fit Arbitrator (had 1 EANM2, a DC2 and a MAAR as tank, 2 mid slots were used for data analyzer and rigs were -align time). Doing it was well worth it imo, since I was able to sell the implant (very quickly) for 450 millions, compared to the ~200 the high sec implant sells.
