Is anyone else getting the same problems, with the Test Client not opening properly or hanging..?

As everything was OK prior to the last update, now when I login the client is really struggling to open, same situation on my son's computer, so we're both having the same problems here..

I can hear the music, though get a black screen for ages and slowly, very slowly do the boxes start to appear, Station Services, Local Chat, Alliance Chat the Corp Chat etc...

My ship hasn't appeared yet, all the guests that appear in the station services window are blank without portraits. I have reset all settings, though that's seamed to of made things worse..

I've had the Launcher hang horridly, especially when it's been recently closed and re-launched. I've also been given python script errors and etc.

The Client itself tends to hang a bit when loading and will even give me a "not responding" message occasionally.
Things, like you said, will load slowly for no apparent reason, moving the client from my normal HDD to a SSD doesn't seem to improve it much. I however mainly get this issue when using multiple clients at the same time. Are you doing anything of the sort?

If anything I think this could be graphics card related, with new drivers and etc always coming out and killing things.
I'm on a nVidia GT 650m w/ 2GB (Beta Drivers 337.50) ... what are you using?

You can't independently update graphics drivers on a Mac, it's all included with the Mac OS...!!

And as I have said the test worked fine up until the last update, now I can get as far as clicking on my character at login, then it tries to enter the game, though just hangs..

If you havn't done yet: Please write a bug report with as much information as possible. It would be great if you could send it from the client, but I'm not sure if your client allows this in its broken state. Which Mac OS X version are you using?

My son and I are using OS X 10.6.8, though as I have already mentioned SISI was working fine up until the last update..

I tested on our Mac for 10.6.8 (unfortunately a very slow machine with only 1 GB RAM - way below min spec) and it worked without real problems. Logging in and loading new stuff took a bit (but not too long), but this was very likely due to being nearly out of memory. It might be good to check if you have enough free memory.

A bug report is still the best option to investigate this further.

Btw: You might want to look into upgrading your OS X version soon, as the support for 10.6.8 will be dropped within the next months - for more info read this news message about upcoming changes to Macintosh requirements.
