Or rather a warped British perception of it, mining for interesting facts.

... I'm waiting for the penis museum to pop up but the necro-pants @12:00 are satisfying that particular niche atm.

Ive heard that there are no kebabs or Basketball in Iceland.

Completely true. Iceland is a strange place.

Instead of eating kebabs they eat something called "ejkklyrkokoj" -it's prononuced 'ejkklyrkokoj'. It has a rubbery texture, and is traditionally eaten in large halls where the diners sit at the edges, on benches, and stare at each other.

Similarly, while they don't play Basketball they do play a somewhat similar sport called ""yyertlyfffglhuosul"" (they borrowed the name from the Welsh). In "yyertlyfffglhuosul" -it's pronounced 'yyertlyfffglhuosul'- the name of the game is to leap over a spinning column of rancid meat. It's played in brightly light rooms, typically at night, and often whilst drunk.

There are no animals to eat in Iceland except sheep. Who have eaten all the trees which is part of what makes it such a weird-looking place.

For food, I believe it's thunderbread and smjor and you can damn well like it.
