I'm no code monkey but it strikes me that with AUR being in the wallet; and ISK being in the wallet; and ISK being transferable; then it shouldn't be too difficult to make it so I can send AUR to another character.

The likelihood of me ever buying anything off the NEX for myself is trending towards zero. However, I might buy summin for my Jita price checker once all the items that are in the market actually make it into the NEX.

Now that CCP has given away free AUR to everyone allowing it to transfer would be catastrophic!

Convert all "Free" AURUM to gold ammunition (that does nothing but an amusing sound effect and lightshow) then watch all Eve players grief people into getting concorded for the christmas holidays in hisec!

That would soon remove the free AURUM problem from the game.

(and show that CCP still has a sense of humour)

What you don't understand is that all AUR-related things are incredibly difficult. It probably has something to do with that “-um” ending.

Just look at the NEX: it uses AUR instead of LP, and for that reason, it was apparently nearly impossible to make it do the exact same thing, which was the cause of the second front of the summer shitstorm (the gold Scorpion). Blink

Hey I have 5500 on each of my accounts and I was too stupid to think of how to turn them into ISK. Please make it so I can buy monocles for free and sell them on the market for 1bil.

Sold 11000k free AUR for 700m crew reporting in.

Actually Aurum is latin for "gold", so the name is quite appropriate.
