"This week in EVE" is a weekly overview of EVE Online related news and events and shows what is going on in EVE Online. The focus of this overview is on official news from CCP: For example, dev blogs and important forum posts by CCP developers, the ever evolving background story and upcoming events.   • PLEX for GOOD Charity Live Stream - Forum discussion
    • As part of this PLEX for GOOD drive CCP will broadcast a charity live Stream on December 7 from 13:00 UTC to 21:00 UTC at http://twitch.tv/ccp. Included are live roams on Tranquility, dev duels, a danger game session and more. Tune in!

  • Community Spotlight: Declarations of War - Forum discussion
    • CCP Eterne presents in the long running Community Spotlight series interesting projects and initiatives from the EVE Community for the EVE Community. This time CCP Eterne presents one of the oldest and most respected EVE Online podcasts: Declarations of War podcast. Run by former CSM representative Alekseyev Karrde, the podcast has been providing players a focused look at PvP and 0.0 for over three years now.

  • New Player Training Sessions: Exploration - Forum discussion
    • After a very successful first New Player Training Session track, the EVE Community team decided to continue their initiative to have live seminars for new players to assist new and returning players to find their ways in New Eden. The second track contains two sessions per week, focuses on Exploration and runs until end of December.

  • EVE Fanfest 2014 Tickets Now Available
    • The ticket sales for Fanfest 2014 are live with a nice early bird discount. As usual we partner with Icelandair and Center Hotels to offer special rates on airfare and loging. Check out the Fanfest 2014 page!

  • Exploit: Bumping in order to prevent E-Warp
    • Bumping a ship in order to get it stuck in emergency warp alignment limbo when its pilot logs in is now considered an exploit. This does not apply to pilots who get legitimately aggressed under normal game mechanics, preventing their ships from disappearing from space (use safe logoff whenever possible). This specifically applies to those pilots who disappear from space after logoff and appear again upon logging in.

  • Node crash after fighting in E-YJ8G is investigated by devs
    • After a large fleet battle in E-YJ8G the server gave in and crashed. Our developers investigate the reasons for this crash and how we can improve the situation overall. Read this thread by CCP Veritas and enriched by CCP Explorer for some technical background information.

  • Several gfx issues after Rubicon got fixed
    • CCP Vertex is glad to announce that several graphic issues resulting from the Rubicon expansion were fixed. Thank you for your feedback, bug reports and assistance discovering these bugs. Please check the patch notes for further information.

  • DX9 version of the EVE Client continues to be available
    • While we are glad to have a DirectX11 version of the EVE client now, CCP Snorlax assures that the DX9 version will be supported for quite a while.

  • Account activation on Singularity takes between 12 and 36 hours
    • The automatic account activation on the test server Singularity takes between 12 and 36 hours as CCP Habakuk confirms. In the past accounts the activation of accounts on Singularity which were active on Tranquility but inactive on Singularity required manual work. The automatic activation is a considerable improvement.

  • Camera distance reset on session change to be fixed
    • After being able to replicate the undock camera "reset" issue (the camera distance resets to the default distance after a session change), a correction was implemented and deployed. This issue should be fixed now. Please check the patch notes for an overview of all the fixed issues since Rubicon.

  • Ship models on the Launcher screen
    • On the EVE Launcher the ship model is hidden if the client window height is too small to allow displaying all information properly. The hiding also depends on the height (-ratio) of the ship and on adverts and the redeeming panel. This is an intended feature and not a bug.

  • Christmas gifts 2013?
    • Christmas gifts 2013? What would you like to get ... and what will you receive? CCP karkur says SNOW!

  • Scamming PLEX for GOOD results in permanent bans
    • Scamming (or attempts to scam) the PLEX for GOOD program is strictly forbidden and will result in swift permanent bans. Just don't do it.

  • Tools to create additional content - ongoing
    • With the release of the Ghost sites our developers are not finished adding content to New Eden, quite the contrary. Tools to author more content are in development as CCP Affinity confirms also in this post.

  • CSM members are bound to EULA, TOS and all other rules
    • As CCP Dolan reminds, CSM members are bound to the EVE EULA, TOS and forum rules just as every other subscriber (plus additional NDA). If you see behavior that violates those rules, please either use the forum report tool or report directly to the EVE Community team via support ticket.

  • Sisters of EVE Conspiracy
    • The player Xercodo found some interesting background information about the Sisters of EVE. CCP Falcon tries to wave off all this as nothing more than a conspiracy ... but is it really that easy?

  • Are the Jovians weak?
    • An interesting question regarding the Jovians and their true strength ... or are they weak? CCP Falcon chirps...

    Thanks for all the good weekly updates.
    In this week with the EVE Fanfest tickets for sale; I bought my tickets but can't book a package deal from Icelandare following your link, nor will the links for booking a hotel room work. I haven't found any other places to make comments or post concerns, so here it is.
    Can you guys look into the issues with your affiliation's websites please? I would like to make all my travel arrangements to attend Fanfest 2014.
